California’s Chapman University will host separate graduation ceremonies this summer based on students' skin color, sexual orientation, and disability.
In addition to the main commencement ceremony for all students, the private university will offer at least six more ceremonies, which are optional.
A post on the university’s Instagram page said the school will hold a Black graduation, an APIDA (Asian Pacific Islander Desi American) graduation, a lavender (LGBT) graduation, a disability graduation, a Middle Eastern graduation, and a Latinx graduation.

Driving people apart the way they are deliberately doing, is corrosive and, I think, incredibly destructive.
Since humans existed, we have tended to gather into larger and larger groups, and that cohesiveness with other humans is critical to who we are.
This is a terrible, terrible thing being done. I don’t hear anyone talking about it. Covid was ostensibly temporary, but the Left has been trying to codify these types of separation of groups and to classify it as “normal” society.
It isn’t. It is part of us and is important, even when you DO have to be in a group with people like them.
Don’t support chafed man college. Don’t send your kids there. They are bowing to mob like
philosophies. No longer a seeker of truth. Do not reward them. Any way you can.

I wonder if any of the graduates know the meaning of “Balkanization”.
(Hint to the grads: Balkanization is not a good thing. It often leads to bloody wars.)

My point is, there are a lot of ignorant people who DON’T get that at all. THAT is what concerns me.

Dear Abby...my gay, transgender, intersectional friend at Chapman University has an Asian mom, a Middle Eastern dad, speaks with a lisp, and has a Latinx girlfriend. He doesn’t know which graduation to attend. Please advise.

“Desi” is what South Asians — Indians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis — in the West call themselves. “Des” (pronounced desh) means nation, as in Bangladesh — the nation of Bangla people.
