Just In: Trump Fails to Crack 50 Percent in New 2024 GOP Primary Poll

In a new Politico/Morning Consult poll, respondents who plan to vote in the GOP primary were asked “If the 2024 Republican primary were being held today, for whom would you vote?”

Trump more than tripled his nearest competitor with 48 percent to former Vice President Mike Pence’s 13 percent, while Pence nearly doubled third-place finisher Donald Trump Jr.’s 7 percent. Senators Mitt Romney and Ted Cruz were tied with former Amb. Nikki Haley at 4 percent.

South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, who delivered the GOP response to President Joe Biden’s address to a joint session of Congress last month, drummed up just two percent, besting Sen. Marco Rubio and Gov. Kristi Noem at 1 percent.

Bringing up the rear were Sen. Josh Hawley with 2 … respondents, not percentage points. Gov. Larry Hogan and Sen. Rick Scott each had one supporter in the poll.

That is an absolutely ridiculous pole. Anything that includes people like Haley, cruz, etc. is a joke.

Exactly. They included Trump Jr in the poll to keep Donald under 50%.

By September, or so, in 2015, Trump was leading the field. But he was only at 30% or so...a level he stayed at virtually through the entire Primary process. People here (I think) and certainly on the left kept saying: “Fat chance for Trump, when 70% of Republicans don’t want him”.

He got 88% of the Republican vote in 2016 (and 94% in 2020). Funny how polling works...

Trump is too old, and too neutered by big tech and the establishment. Social media is what shot Trump to the top— and they’ve ALL banned him.

I’d like to see someone run who is wicked smart like Trump, but who isn’t quite as abrasive. Maybe someone like Ben Shapiro. But wish there were more options.

So you’re from California. You better be careful. There’s something in the water out there.

Yep, just like they mentioned it the moment after he seriously threw his hat into the ring in 2015.

The real story is the name that is not on there that they know is the one to fear, which is why they left him out of the fake poll: Governor DeSantis.

These are joke polls. Trump gets nearly HALF of GOP votes against every other Republican in America. Why, his candidacy is dead in the water! (Except compared to everyone else)

They left out DeSantis because he would have polled above Pence.

“Actually, with the NEW MAIL IN VOTING system and ballot stuffing boxes, Trump or any other candidate on the right will have ZERO chance”

I’m not quite as convinced as I was. If you look at the reforms and who signed them...some of those people like Governor Kemp in Georgia, claimed the election was ‘just fine’. So why the big reforms?

Answer: The election was to get rid of Trump, and both parties were in on it. The Republicans never intended to throw the country over to the Democrats (since that wrecks their careers and the big lobbying bucks), so they don’t want to see anymore of it. They’re, of course, trapped now, because ‘their friends across the aisle’ whom they conspired with to drive Trump out don’t plan to give up their newfound power voluntarily, and so they’re forced to confront the Dems and try to restore some level of integrity - but they still CANNOT admit to the conspiracy against Trump, and neither can the Democrats (for obvious reasons).

Hahahaha. Ben Shaprio debates stawmen and transsexual teens. That guy would get absolutely nothing done if he ever got elected. The very things that scare you about Trump is why he gets things done. Twitter didn’t propel Trump. Trump is the type of person who finds solutions and ways to do things. If he were to run again all these clowns will be fighting a Twitter war and Trump will be on to something else. Trump is a real world success story and very smart. People will look back to a time in history when America had a brilliant President who had peace in the middle east almost done in 3 4 years as a side project with 85% of his own government trying to take him down.
