HUNGRY McDonald's customers were met with a brutally honest sign explaining why their Big Mac and fries might be a little late.
The branch in the United States went viral after a small yellow sign that said their staff "didn't want to work anymore".
Above the order here instructions, the sign read: "We are short-staffed. Please be patient with the staff that did not show up. No one wants to work anymore."
The blunt note was spotted by Brittany Jade on TikTok and posted a video of the hilarious sign.
"Y'all. Our McDonald's is savage AF," Brittany wrote in the caption.
In the comments to the video, many have shown their support to over-worked staff.
One person wrote: “So true, don’t get mad at the ones there working. They aren’t the reason it’s short-staffed.”

Employers in my neck of the Upstate NY woods are saying the same.
They cannot get people to come back or in to work.
They’d rather stay home and suck off the government teat.
Why do I get the impression that neither of you have ever had to worry about payroll...?
I see the young men working very hard here. Men with families and skilled jobs. Many young men looking for decent life partners. Wives to have families with. That seems to be the shortage here.
Local Healthcare employer told their aides and techs that they were not raising wages but instead were going to the world markets for labor.
This is why the border is open.
You cannot imagine what it is like being ill and being cared for by some third world standard.
When I get to Florida (probably in the fall), if I don’t have a good job lined up, I’ll sweep floors if I have to.
I won’t do wait staff or cook at a restaurant, though, because I’m high-strung. A ton of orders would make my head explode. But most other jobs? Fair enough.
A training wage that is twice the minimum (which in some states would now be THIRTY BUCKS AN HOUR) is great for a high school kid.
Maybe. some. kids. are. lazy. nowadays.
It is happening all across the lower end of the service industry. Many are still on unemployment and getting an extra $300 per week bump.
A colleague and I just chatted about this last night as an employee had just posted a review of what it was like to work for his business on glassdoor. Chief complaint? Not the hours or the job itself, it was the pay rate.
Employers need to turn in these folks who are refusing to comeback to work. Some might say employers need to pay more in order to coerce them back, but that will contribute to the price of services and goods causing wild inflation. In a way, these federal bumps to unemployment payments are causing an employee shortage. And is starting to really look like a backdoor attempt to get employers to raise wages high enough to be able to hire.
We build our service structure around a base wage, incentives, and tips. Our service means an employee must be able to work independently and manage themselves successfully. There’s no one supervising their success or failures unless the client notices something or catches them on in-home camera. Their smart phone is used to clock in and out of each appointment and is GPS tracked per location.
Minimum Wage: $8.80 for non-tip employees. Tipped employees $4.40 State of Ohio
Base Rate $10 per hour
Tips 3-4 per hour or 6-8 if routes are close
Incentives 1-2 per hour
Range $11-$20 per hour plus mileage
They are using this as a backdoor way to raise minimum wage. Wake up! If employers can’t or won’t pay a new $15 minimum wage, they will coerce them into it by bumping the unemployment with your tax dollars.
We had a hardware store in Farmers Branch, Tx was called Turner’s. Lotta older and knowledgeable staff. They sold out to Ace Hardware and it’s not the same good knowledgeable service that Turner was but oh well. Change isnt always for the better.
The end result of “Participation Trophies” ?????
Participation Trophies are not the same as PAYCHeCKS
You better be stashing alot of that $3900 a month-—IT isn’t going to last forever.
I do worry about payroll and I've also worked for companies whose owner's top priority was paying for their cocaine addiction, or a multi-million dollar home that they couldn't afford, or corporations whose HR was tasked with filling the company with "diverse" but incompetent employees which can only be accomplished by lowering the salaries offered to competent employees in order to fit the incompetent ones. With the exception of one company that shrunk down to a few remaining stores, the others have disappeared completely.
I have associates who own small businesses who learned not to complain to me that they "can't find good people" because they finally admitted what little they were paying them. They're not worried about payroll, they're delusional and think they can get rich quick with a crappy company and really don't get why others won't play their role in their scheme. Some of the worst are Socialists, often foreign-born, who truly believe that peasants should work for them for slave wages but have rocket scientist skills.
Rapidly turning into 70s/80s USSR. We’re moving towards a “Shortage Economy” stage where lots of people will have money but nothing to buy with it.
Nice bar to set for people to live up to. Aren’t generations supposed to improve and have more and work less with technological advancements over time?
Instead some people seem to think the opposite. They don’t do it themselves of course, but it’s very easy to say everyone should be working slave wages at high demanding jobs. That’s how you turn into China or India or any socialist/communist country.
ALL the American taxpayers.
Door Dash drivers will be out of business IF Biden gets his 25 cents per mile tax.
