NOT LOVIN' IT Brutally honest McDonald’s apology sign says they are short staffed as ‘no one wants to work anymore’

HUNGRY McDonald's customers were met with a brutally honest sign explaining why their Big Mac and fries might be a little late.

The branch in the United States went viral after a small yellow sign that said their staff "didn't want to work anymore".

Above the order here instructions, the sign read: "We are short-staffed. Please be patient with the staff that did not show up. No one wants to work anymore."

The blunt note was spotted by Brittany Jade on TikTok and posted a video of the hilarious sign.

"Y'all. Our McDonald's is savage AF," Brittany wrote in the caption.

In the comments to the video, many have shown their support to over-worked staff.

One person wrote: “So true, don’t get mad at the ones there working. They aren’t the reason it’s short-staffed.”

Try to order a milkshake at the McD's by my house and every time they'll tell you, "Sorry, the machine is broken."

I've concluded (from once working at a McDonalds) that the machine probably works fine but it is such a pain to clean at the end of the night that they've decided to simply stop using it.

Government has given us more money than ever, but there’s less and less to buy.

It creeps me out the number of empty shelves I'll see in Walmart these days.

I’m not an expert on this and there are probably others that can describe this better....

I think there are two pathways into the electrician trade. One is through an established company and the second is directly through a master electrician. With the established company, it’s putting in a job application and interview kind of route. With the master electrician path, it is finding that individual willing to take on the mentoring task. Either way, the starting ground floor job is probably something less than an apprentice until the person demonstrates an aptitude and work ethic worth investing time into.

Again though, a electrician pro can describe this better than I. And... My nephew is in Oklahoma.

From a vanity I wrote 16 years ago:

So clearly, there has been a great rush to send all kinds of work overseas. But WHY? The usual answer is “To be cost competitive. We could not survive as a company if we continued to pay exorbitant American salaries.” Is this really true? Consider Microsoft. One of its managers, Brian Valentine, was quoted in a trade magazine as saying “Think India! Two for the price of one!” But before its big dividend payout, Microsoft was sitting on some $50 billion (with a “B”, folks)--in Cash. And essentially no debt. Are you telling me Microsoft has to pinch pennies on salaries, because they can’t afford to compete otherwise? Let’s do the math. MBA types like to talk about comparing expected return on investment to the “risk-free” rate of return, US Treasuries. If Microsoft had just invested that money into US Treasuries, even when interest rates bottomed out at about 2%, they would have had $1 billion /year, CASH, with which to pay American programmers. And this would have been without touching the principal and without affecting cash flow from continuing operations.

Exactly. Los Angeles County is literally a foreign country.

The Left wants global Marxism.

It’s on the way.

Tell them to get some robots so they can get rid of all that expensive labor, so they can finally lower their prices.

Those are gonna be some spendy burgers. And a lot of the millennials would hear that and think “Cool beans. I can get by on a ten hour work week.“

The BS is over-whelming.

And that's the point, isn't it? You can retire and scale down to life on a fixed income while prices climb or you can keep working while being forced to attend diversity training, sexual harassment training, racial sensitivity training, hate-whitey training, etc. while knowing the moment you open up your mouth to utter the truth, some "offended" person is going to use it to try to get you fired which could rob you of a pension.

It's your choice. I took retirement, took my pensions and social security, left the country to live where it is more affordable and haven't looked back.

LMAO ROTF

Health and safety concerns?

Teach your kids that the law is not the enemy, UNLAWFUL behaviour is the problem.

Teach your kids that violence only leads to more violence, and forgiveness is true power and STRENGTH.

If your “babydaddy” is a no-account loser, DO NOT hook up with more of his type! Losers and scumbags only make MORE of their own type. Do YOU want to create MORE “men” that are more interested in *umping more “babymamas” for the welfare checks? who cares about the kids? I got my rocks off again, and WHITEY GONNA PAY!

You have no idea how much I loathe welfare daddies. Oh, my goodness....

I’ve been trying to figure out what the “SM” is. See it all over when reading about Ph. Is it a store chain? My gf from Davao but haven’t asked her yet.
———

SM - used to be “Shoe Mart” it’s one of the worlds largest chains with the #2, 9, 11 and 15th largest malls

There is a scifi short story about this problem. Eventually all the main sewage pumps in NYC fail because no one knows how to fix them.

Our local Ace Hardware Store is the exact opposite.

Sounds like they service a community or neighborhood. Like Small Town, USA. Same in my neighborhood. I like to shop local, for that reason.

After I retired I took a seasonal part-time job and was astounded how even a little work the young people will avoid doing. ....and that goes for the management they advance up the rank and file. Terrible work ethics.

I have a 32-year-old woman living with me who lost her part-time job last year due to COVID, but still hasn't bothered to look for anything else. She is happy collecting unemployment and going on vacations.

Her former place of employment reopened a few months after lockdown but did not want her back. I think I know why.

The actual sign says that DID SHOW UP. It’s just a poor just of proofreading. So I guess even proofreaders don’t show up.

Often when I go to Home Depot or Lowes, I would get kicked off an aisle because they need to drive a fork lift through, while I am trying to find something or figure something out.. So I go to Ace instead.

That will never work. There is a minimum number of staff to work there and everywhere else. Even paying half 50 percent more will jack up the costs..
I have alredy noticed it is much more expensive to eat out, even at McDonald’s.
Covid taught people to love socialism. They do, for now.

It’s VERY true. I work weekends at local Waffle House and ever since the last stimulus went out, we are typically closing 1/3 to 1/2 of the restaurant due to staffing issues and wait time has gone from a typical 15 min to about 30 min. The ones that do work are getting overworked and frustrated because they are having to make up the slack. Boss frustrated as well.

From talking to customers this is happening in fast food, retail, and home health care that I personally know of.

Customer that manages a large number of fast food chain stores (won’t say which) told me if I knew any seniors like me that want to work to send them his way.

It’ll get worse if the free money keeps flowing.
