If you were expecting President Biden to take a victory lap, to boast about his remarkable achievements in just 50 days in office, it's understandable. After four years of the former president, many of us became accustomed to self-serving rhetoric. But Biden's first prime-time address Thursday night was something altogether different from that.
Biden was 20 minutes into his speech before he mentioned that he had just signed into law a $1.9 trillion Covid-19 economic relief package that is, in fact, one of the most significant pieces of legislation in modern history -- one that will change the lives of tens of millions of Americans -- and that he made it happen less than two months into his presidency.
Instead of a self-serving, boastful address, he offered a moving, compassionate and uplifting and inspiring speech.
When Biden speaks about the pandemic, when he implores Americans to do their part, when he speaks about losses, and about his determination to defeat the virus, there's a striking earnestness in his demeanor. He promises to tell the truth. We've all learned to become cynical, skeptical of politicians, but Biden sounds, as he might say, like the real deal.
Listening to this brand-new President, watching what he has done so far, it's impossible not to wonder how many lives would have been saved if the United States had had a reasonable, competent, stable president when the coronavirus struck. How many who died would be alive today?
It was exactly one year ago that the pandemic was declared; one year ago that the former president gave a national address filled with lies, empty promises, and incoherent information.
Although he had much to brag about, Biden did not come to praise himself. He came to ask for help, and to boost his country's spirits.

The “dystopia” was the left constantly throwing self-righteous tantrums over the fact that we actually elected a president who did the job of a president without playing political games.
Now that we are under control of politicians who care more about power than the people, the left is silent. As our rights are being actively attacked and the economy destroyed, the left celebrates. Yet when the “utopia” that they dream about is firmly established, they will suffer just as much as any conservative who warned them of the dangers of socialism. They don’t even realize the horrors they embrace.

I saw China Joe’s speech and it was hardly moving, uplifting and inspiring. Geez, CNN should just move its international headquarters to the White House basement! What total crap this is!
$3.8 Trillion in spending over the past Republican and Democratic govts, no faith in FBI, elections or the Supreme Court, police stand by as cities are burned down. Only border wall is around the US Capital. City and state govts subsidised by bailout but the citizens still must pay their taxes in addition to taking on the debt to bail them out. See very little positive in Americas future.
She's travelled continuously all over the world for decades. There is no mention of a family, and indeed it would be mighty difficult to have one with that much travel.

I eventually went back and watch/listen to it with a friend of mine on FaceTime, similar to how rush would play a speech pause or make some comments and continue on.
I don’t know what CNN watched but it was inspiring, Compassionate or uplifting. It was simply reading a script off the Teleprompter and trying to look like he cared. Never once did I feel that what was in his heart as he used every ounce of energy he had to stay focused on the Teleprompter.
At first it started out with him talking about how this past year we have lost “living” with all the restrictions, cancel events, etc. For the last year and the Democrats I have dismissed any idea that all these cancel events was a bad thing, now all of a sudden they are. Then it went from America sucks is in a bad place because of Trump, to America is in a good place, to America might be in a bad place again, etc. He had no unified message it was all over the place.
I guess they missed the part where he graciously said if you do what the government tells you they may let you have a barbecue in your backyard with a few friends over, but of course nothing too big. That would be dangerous.
More disgusting than I even imagined.
Let me know when Biden makes an appearance way he doesn’t read from a Teleprompter and run away and actually hold a press conference for at least an hour with reporters shouting questions at him.
Trumps se;f serving rhetoric would never have attempted to camoflauge a 1.9 Trillion quid pro quo payout to Democrat instututions with oonly 10% of those funds going to the pandemic effort.
In short Biden thinks he can hoodwink America.
CNN is still at the Orange Man Bad meme, hoodwinking as many citizens as they can.
They are still scared to death of Donald Trump.
