The new technologies and the underlying pervasive lawlessness have been a death blow to American urban centers. Even the huge amounts of Federal aid will not revive them.
This could become a big trend. Companies don’t need nearly a much office space with employees working off site much of the time.
And if there is fear of being in big cities, it just magnifies the problems of commercial real estate. Commercial real estate may well experience a depression in that business. The demand for office space will simply not be there.

I know. I’m from Vancouver. I was there on the last Christmas they operated at the former Zellers location at Metrotown. It was like any store in Cuba: EMPTY SHELVES. Never saw anything like that in North America. There was an article by the Toronto Star on why they failed and these clowns did not anticipate supplier logistics in Canada which is more limited than in the US. Not only that, the suppliers supposedly intentionally screwed up deliveries because they had an arrogant approach to dealing with them unlike Walmart.
My bud is probaby the only store director who refused to put Biden and Harris books at the book section end caps after the election. He said he did to corporate, but he placed other books. Black history month, when he saw moochelle obama pics at HR as told by HQ, he threw it in the garbage lol. I posted about a loony experience just yesterday with Target first notifying me that an out of stock item had finally come back in, only to deny me delivery of said item because of my particular zip code. I ordered the item from another store.
I’m no fan of Target, but their stock has done very very well in the past 4 years.

The ‘weakness’ in our Constitution is that it does allow subversives to slip-in (through it’s freedoms and rights), if we’re not actively rooting them out. We stopped doing so in the 1960s. Now we pay.
