The World Economic Forum, founded by Klaus Schwab in 1970, hosts a yearly January gathering of global corporate and political elites in Davos, Switzerland. Annually, it draws hundreds of private jets, as attendees gather to assure the rest of us that we must tighten our belts and sacrifice our standard of living in order to reduce carbon emissions. It calls itself:
…the foremost creative force for engaging the world's top leaders in collaborative activities to shape the global, regional and industry agendas at the beginning of each year.
That sounds an awful lot like powerful people conspiring with each other to force change on the rest of us. Such candor is refreshing, in a way, though chilling as well.
Of late, the WEF have been pushing a concept called “The Great Reset,” as the theme of their 2020 meeting (where the sage Greta Thunberg was a featured speaker), and as the title of a book co-authored by Herr Doktor Schawb, in which fundamental changes to the world social, political and economic order are called for.

The UN just published its first ever environmental synthesis report, with the expectedly scary title “Making Peace With Nature: A scientific blueprint to tackle the climate, biodiversity and pollution emergencies.” That’s right, now there are (hyperbolically) three emergencies, not just the climate one. In fact according to the UN we now have a “Planetary Crisis”...
“2. Consumption, population and waste: Reduce the negative global effect of human needs and demand – a function of consumption and production rates, population size, and waste – by reducing per capita consumption and production in some regions and human population growth in others.“ (Emphasis added).
“4. Inequalities: Systematically reduce inequalities in income and other forms, including across gender, race and class.” (Emphasis added)
This doctrine is not new and it has a name: Contraction and Convergence. In some cases the term refers to emission levels but in this case the basic idea is very simple. The developed economies like America are to contract by reducing per capita consumption and production. The poorest countries are allowed to improve a bit, but every economy on Earth is supposed to then converge to a single (low) standard of living. I am not making this up...

I’m comforted by the fact that while these a-holes may make our lives miserable for a finite thime, they will all spend eternity in hell. That’s a REAL reset.
I only go to speaking events where the keynote speaker is a vegan with Asperger’s Syndrome...
