Alarming COVID-19 study finds virus survives on fabric for 3 days

A new study has revealed that the virus which causes COVID-19 can linger on fabric, such as clothing or upholstery, for up to three days.

Between polyester, a poly-cotton blend and 100% cotton fabrics, the polyester posed the greatest risk, even after 72 hours; on full-cotton samples, the virus lasted one day, while the poly-cotton blend remained contaminated by viral droplets — designed to mimic human saliva — for just six hours.

But I thought it was JUST revealed that ONLY aspiration matters! We don’t need to worry about surfaces!

[[[I’m not giving up my polyester leisure suits!]]]

LOL. The heady days of my youth watching middle aged men running around in these with flood pants. The “louder” the better.

An alternate outfit for summer was a Hawaiian shirt, Bermuda shorts, dark dress socks and penny loafers.

But will ‘rona balls, or what’s left of ‘em, that have been hitching a ride on someone’s fabric infect anybody?

Bet the answer to that is...

NOT.

That’s ageist. No 38 year olds? How about 61 years old? You are leaving people out of all the fun!

I was going to go with under 50 like the science says, hell I am 60 and had barely a mild cold from it.

Why don’t we all just take Vitamin D and Zinc, so that the virus survives less than ten seconds after contact with our immune systems?

Or would that damage the Faucihuahua’s immortal reputation?

"Alarming COVID-19 study finds virus survives on fabric for 3 days."

News? Heard this last year. That's why we spray our used masks with Lysol spray. No need to wash them after every use, which doesn't disinfect anyway. After 3 uses, then the wash for just for built up mucus from mouth and nose and air dirt/grime.

So desperate Democratic mandated, virtue-signaling COVID-19 fabric masks are possibly not only helping to spread the virus but also possibly bacterial pneumonias too imo! YUCK!

Patriots need to work with local and state officials to implement the following legal safeguards against possibly needless lockdowns in their state constitutions.

Unfortunately, the study itself is not published, and the only details were apparently given in an interview. So it is impossible to say what this study actually means.

Did they do virus cultures to verify that virus was still viable? Or did they just do virus detection assays, which tell nothing about whether the virus is viable or not.

In any case, there are proper procedures for masking and demasking which are designed to minimize chance of exposure if the outside of the mask is contaminated. You are only supposed to touch the mask straps, and sanitize your hands after touching the mask.

I should also note that this article addressed the sanitation of hospital clothing, not masks. Health care workers should not take their work clothing home to launder. Turning in work clothing to the facility laundry is standard practice, at least wherever I have worked. We had laundry services contracted out.

So now we are back to it surviving for 3 days. We started there, then it went backwards saying it could not and now we are there again.

It is absolutely unnecessary to wear a mask, but you are required to because it is necessary and will prevent the spread of the virus, except it won’t necessarily and we all still need to social distance and wear two masks but maybe not.

But at any rate, this will all be over when we have a vaccine but not necessarily because the vaccine might not really work like that.

And on and on and on goes the Fauci-go-round.
