House Republicans demand Pelosi account for actions before riot Speaker charges lawmakers trying to 'deflect' blame from Trump

Several House Republicans are demanding Speaker Nancy Pelosi answer questions about her actions and what she knew before the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol.

She's not answering. Instead her office issued a statement accusing the Republicans of trying to "deflect" responsibility for the violence away from President Trump, who was acquitted last week on a charge that he incited an insurrection.

House Administration Committee Ranking Member Rodney Davis, House Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Jim Jordan, House Oversight Committee Ranking Member James Comer and House Intelligence Committee Ranking Member Devin Nunes sent a letter to Pelosi asking why a request for National Guard support from the Capitol Police was denied. The lawmakers also want to know about any guidance she gave the sergeant at arms before the riot, why House officers are "refusing to comply with preservation and production requests" about the riot and much more.

"Five weeks have passed since the January 6th attack on the Capitol building, and many important questions about your responsibility for the security of the Capitol remain unanswered. As you are aware, the Speaker of the House is not only the leader of the majority party, but also has enormous institutional responsibilities," the congressmen wrote.

Oh yeah. This is backfiring on them. When they find out that the Capital Hill riot was not only staged, but faked with DNC / ANTIFA collusion, they are all dead meat. No fence no matter how high will protect them.

The real fence they have around DC is the press. Unless the media reports the Dem crimes in connection with Dec. 6, nobody is ever going to know. And certainly they’ll never retract their story. It’s the way the Times could report that the cop who died was beaten to death with a fire extinguisher and had to be taken to the hospital, where he died...none of which ever happened. Somehow another source reported the truth, which was that he had gotten pepper spray in his eyes and had gone home, and then died the next day of a long-standing medical condition.

The Times used their original story to stir up hysteria and the story was abundantly cited in those sham proceedings. Then about two days ago in the course of another article about the case, the Times didn’t correct or retract it but blandly admitted that he died of an “undetermined cause” after leaving his shift early. No fire extinguisher, no beating, no hospital....but no apology for and correction of their lies either.
