Tim Zook’s last post on Facebook brimmed with optimism. “Never been so excited to get a shot before,” he wrote on Jan. 5, above a photo of the Band-Aid on his arm and his COVID-19 vaccination card. “I am now fully vaccinated after receiving my 2nd Pfizer dose.”
Zook, 60, was an X-ray technologist at South Coast Global Medical Center in Santa Ana. A couple of hours later, he had an upset stomach and trouble breathing. By 3:30 p.m. it was so bad his colleagues at work walked him to the emergency room. “Should I be worried?” his wife, Rochelle, texted when she got the news. “No, absolutely not,” he texted back. “Do you think this is a direct result of the vaccine?” she typed. “No, no,” he said. “I’m not sure what. But don’t worry.”

Shortly after midnight on Jan. 7, the hospital called. Zook was in a medically induced coma and on a ventilator to help him breathe. But his blood pressure soon dropped and he was transferred to UC Irvine Medical Center. “On Friday I get a call, ‘His kidneys are failing. He needs to be on dialysis. If not, he could die — but there’s also a chance he might have a heart attack or stroke on dialysis because his blood pressure is so low,’ ” Rochelle Zook said.
By 4 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, Zook had gone “code blue” twice and was snatched back from the brink of death. There was a third code blue in the afternoon. “They said if he went code blue a fourth time, he’d have brain damage and be a vegetable if he survives,” Rochelle Zook said.
Later that day, Tim Zook died.

It has been a year so where are the 4.9 million dead?
Not a vaccine advocate, but millions of people have received this vaccine with zero issues. Are we sure his issue was from the vaccine? And if it was, doesn’t the normal flu vaccine also pose risks annually for some?
Let’s not forget, it was Trump who pushed these vaccines to the hilt! I’m not going to forget that!
The CDC was basically reporting all deaths WITH Covid as deaths FROM Covid.
The flu essentially doesn’t exist this year. The masks. Right? You know, the ones they say people aren’t wearing enough of. One mask can stop the flu, but not Covid. It takes two masks to stop it, possibly even more!
We are talking about record low flu cases. Is the Covid virus significantly smaller than the flu? Covid is running rampant while the flu has been eradicated by the same masks. The skeptic in me leans toward the idea that maybe a lot of flu cases are being reported as Covid cases because of faulty testing protocols and plain old dishonesty.
Old people and obese people are particularly at risk from Covid. It can and does kill them. Old AND obese people have it even worse. We have a large population of old and fat people. There is no reason for most schools and restaurants to be shut down. Old and/or obese people are probably at greater risk from the vaccine, too, and just about anything else that can cause harm (other than starvation). Like HIV, Covid has a strong political element.
It would be nice if these important health institutions were still manned by competent and honorable professionals. They are not. That America is gone. Many of us can still remember it, and it’s comforting to imagine it’s still like that.
The lockdowns and fear have already done their damage. At this point it doesn’t really even matter if they have been lying or telling the truth.
I doubt we can even be sure of those numbers. They have lied about the numerator and the denominator. It certainly appears to be bad news for people over 70, obese people, and those with other diseases. We have a lot of such people in our population. Measures should focus on protecting them and not my 18 year old son who was mildly sick from Covid for less than 48 hours.
All I can do is hope for the best for him and the other poor sheep who trust the government/media.

Anti-vaxxers and pro-vaxxers will use Confirmation bias to support their arguments and tear down their opponents.
That’s a false figure, RC one. The actual calculated death rate from Covid19 is about 0.33%. Your figure is including all the people who are dying from other causes who also have Corona Virus 19 indicators, but no active infection. Even then, the people who are at risk are those in the age cohort of over 65, and most over 80 with more than two co-morbidities.
The “Covid19 deaths” cases include persons who actually died from suicide, murder, murder/suicide, automobile/motorcycle accidents, deaths of victims from other morbidities such as cancer, chronic heart disease, diabetes, stroke, seasonal influenza, etc., and other accidents.
I was one of the first to point out back in February and March last year that the CDC’s own listing of deaths by various causes in the US had taken a nose dive for every other cause while deaths from Covid19 was suddenly skyrocketing. For example, I noticed that on a compounded line chart that was showing all causes of deaths in 2020 seasonal influenza that had been leading all diseases suddenly dropped to ZERO, while Covid19 suddenly started jumping up equivalent to deaths lost by influenza. The same thing occurred in the steady line growth for heart disease: it dropped to near zero, as did cancer deaths. This was impossible unless Covid19 infection was a complete and total cure for these diseases! No, of course it was not... the CDC had ordered that all deaths were to be subsumed into the Covid19 count.
There was a financial benefit for States, counties, and hospitals to do so... the Federal government had put in a spiff for every Covid19 patient being treated, an additional bonus for every Covid19 patient put in ICU on a Ventilator, and even more for every death reported. It was in these government entities’, and hospital’s financial interests to inflate however possible the numbers they reported. Numerous coroners and even funeral home operators reported they were instructed to “find” evidence of Covid where ever they could... despite obvious other causes of death being the actual proximate cause.
One in particular stuck in my mind. A motorcyclist in New York was hit by a red light runner, killed. They decided because he had been headed in the general direction of a hospital he had to have been headed to the emergency room so he MUST have been going there because he felt ill...with Covid19! Ergo, another Covid19 death! No evidence of any of that speculation, but that was there conclusion so that could list the motorcyclist’s death as being from Covid19!
Here’s another Covid19 death... a businessman in Las Vegas, Nev, laid off all 23 of his employees, went home, shot himself. Death due to Covid19! Aha! Although he was not infected, determined to be due to Covid19 and so counted!
The fact is, RC one, that the EXPECTED total number of deaths per month, counting ALL causes of deaths in the USA, projected from the numbers adjusted from the previous three years without INCLUDING the unexpected pandemic of Covid19 was never exceeded during 2020 until the last two months of 2020 WHEN INCLUDING counting Covid19... and then only by about 1.5-2% which is within the normal range of variation during a year! This is the level we would expect with a particularly bad Flu year. This shows that there really is no extraordinary level of “pandemic” deaths over and above the normal level of deaths expected in a normal year for the USA.

Certainly true. But there is also this: the anti-vaxxers base much of their argument on an allegation that there really isn’t a threat from the CV that would justify taking the vaccine. They are also stressing that even though CV disproportionately affects the elderly, the elderly are even more vulnerable to the side-effects of the vaccine. IOW, no one should take the virus.
I’m sure if we did nothing we’d get there as it reached every little nook and cranny in the country. You’re either going to get the virus or the vaccine. Pick your poison I guess.
Those aren't my figures. They're figures derived from post 54 in this thread. Most of the people "dying from other causes" are actually dying from Covid related complications. a handful of anecdotal reports of fraud do not erase 425,000 total deaths. let's say you can find 5,000 cases of fraud. That's a lot and probably way higher than reality but, even if you could find that many cases of fraud, there's still 400,000 dead Americans. BTW, Medicare offers rewards for reporting fraud. If you can find 5,000 cases, you'll make a fortune.

The final data for 2020 hasn't been reported. They don't even have the final data for 2018 or 2019 reported. If you have some source that provides the final vital statistic data for 2020, please provide it. It would be useful.

Of course they're paid more. Treating a highly contagious disease like this costs more. Why wouldn't they be compensated more? Show me all the names of the doctors and hospital employees that have been arrested for Medicare fraud. You can't do it. Why? Because what you have here is an unsubstantiated allegation. It would basically be impossible to perpetrate the kind of widespread fraud you're alleging. Aside from the ample documentation that is available to support the diagnosis of Covid for every patient admitted into a hospital with Covid, Medicare fraud is rare and fraud on the level that you're alleging is unheard of. What's more I don't think they are paid more "for every death reported". I'd have to see some supporting evidence to buy that. They're paid more if they're admitted for Covid and if they end up intubated and on a ventilator. Some of these people are in the ICU for nearly a month or even over a month. Even with the 20% stipend, you're losing money there.
