Original headline: World’s biggest hedge-fund manager ‘thrilled’ with Biden’s inauguration speech but still believes America’s on ‘brink of terrible civil war’
Back in early December, Ray Dalio, the billionaire founder of Bridgewater Associates, sounded the alarm on class and power struggles that are tearing the country apart, saying the U.S. “at a tipping point in which it could go from manageable internal tension to revolution and/or civil war.”
A few weeks and a new president later, and Dalio does not seem to be getting any more optimistic about the nation’s prospects going forward.
“I believe we are on the brink of a terrible civil war,” Dalio wrote. “We are at an inflection point between entering a type of hell of fighting or pulling back to work together for peace and prosperity that addresses the big wealth, values, and opportunity gaps we’re now seeing.”
He did say, however, that he was “thrilled” by what President Joe Biden had to say at his inauguration last week.

Just unfathomable that a person of his nature couldn’t grasp
all this four years ago.
A civil War is not going to happen. Any war implies two sides fighting. Our side refuses to fight.
No surprise there. It appears as though we could be about to play Cowboys and Crazy People.
This week’s pile of executive orders will no doubt have many states telling the white house to pound sand. We’ll see how it goes after that.
As far as any incivility...it's all on the hate america crowd.
The left may just create the casus belli to justify their destruction of conservatives...
If our side refuses to fight then we will be slaughtered. The communists want blood.
“Our side refuses to fight.”
A lot of us are doing what we can in an ‘underground’ kind of way. ;)
This is more like 1856-1860 not 1912. Donks split between pro-China and Neutral on China, an the Patriots like the GOP of 1856 like the Patriots, and the Whigs being like RINOS of MITTENS, Cris-Crisco, Benasse, and Alaska Murky
A friend recommended I should move to Roratunga; fly island hopping flights.
‘thrilled’ with Biden’s inauguration speech.
Dems are very good at giving people pretty words, with no substance to back them up.
Please understand this hedge fund managers want Civil War because see silver or gold relationship to the dollar will change in their favor and they always make tons of money at our expense.
Amen! That is what it is coming to I’m with you.
pulling back to work together for peace and prosperity...

Translation: shut up you filthy terrorist Trump voters and get in line.
Anti Trumper. Thinks Biden can “bring the country together,”
China, the WEF, UN, etc., I’m sure are pleased with Mr. Dalio’s pronouncement that “a revolution” is needed—and his implication that Biden rather than Trump is the one to somehow bring about greater, and more greatly shared, prosperity.
Spoken like a true billionaire who got more of his wealth from China financing games than he’d ever admit.
I guess that is what I will be doing. I called the Alabama Congressional Delegation. They had a good laugh on me and said among themselves, “What an idiot. He thinks we care about the Country. Now I will just wait until they come after the guns or my insulin runs out. Back during the Clinton days I thought that if freedom went out, it would go with a bang. I did not it would go with a whimper. But you live and learn.
