The key thing about the election of 1876 (similar to 2020) was the phony “turnout” numbers.
In those days both parties knew how to get the dead people to the polls!
On the subject of insults and getting the last word. I direct the attention of my fellow Freepers to my tagline. This is God’s wisdom - not mine and it is one the hardest things in the world to actually do. But, the few times I have actually, successfully done it - and after some time passes - it is one of the greatest feelings ever, to know that you have responded graciously while ignoring an insult.
It was after Lee abandoned Monmouth CH (Freehold) and had ordered a retreat haphazardly. Troops were running amok by the time Washington came up from Englishtown.
He was angry at (traitor) General Lee and at worst said “damn you” OR “a damned poltroon” TO Lee.
This was heard by some of the aides/officers, not everyone. Who could in the middle of flying retreat?
One officer, who liked cussing, fancied it made the “leaves shake on the trees”. But that was only one man.
In any case, this was not after, but in the middle. Washington took over and that’s when they really faced down the Brits in a major way on the field. A real “draw” or possibly a victory.
Harmless and lovable, but that fuzz gets stuck everywhere! :)

You wouldn't want to be associated with "that" guy.
I don’t like to fight on here, hence the whole purpose of Jim’s notice. We as Americans should not be degrading others religious beliefs. I feel like I’m reading a racist attack on people who don’t understand the Catholic faithful.
Glad to hear she is okay.
Just remember that a negative test does not mean she is in the clear...So be very watchful.
And have your plan ready ...which it seems like you do.
