Agreed. Mr. Trump is impressive in many, many areas, but nobody is perfect. This ability to select who to work with is a deep deficiency. He should have delegated more to people like Pompeo, Ted Cruz or even Hope Hicks. I still don’t think I really know who Mike Pence is.

I know Cruz was not a cabinet member, but he was among the few dependably strong supporters during this term. He didn’t agree with all Trump spoke of, but I never got the sense that Ted was plotting for Trump’s downfall, as with Mattis or John Bolden

Yes, but my understanding is that the senate won’t even be in session until the 20th. Do they think the new senate can hold a trial of a president who is no longer in office?

Trump needs the best possible representation if an impeachment farce proceeds, and Guiliani isn't it.

No top law firm dares to work for him, for fear of blacklisting.

Don’t put on a case for their benefit.

To my understanding of the Constitution, the person has to still be in office when convicted.

“I think President Trump has had a very bad track record of lawyers.”

Bad record of appointments too.

Rudy Giuliani is 76. He’s just old. He might still serve a role though. As a VIP on a high powered squad of talented lawyers. The problem is that no one may want to work for Trump at this point. I could be wrong though.

Bad choice. Get someone else.

A disaster. He is too old and is not the legal mind he was. His recent track record has been embarrassing loss after embarrassing loss. The Four Seasons fiasco was just pathetic.

Damn. 76 is younger than our upcoming president-select!

(I’d certainly rather have Rudy’s finger on the ‘button’, than Biden’s.)

The Senate has become a panel of Mullahs deciding who can run for President to serve under Ayatollah Zuckerberg

DIRTshowitz is correct in the case of Trump (a stopped clock is right twice a day, just like Bill Maher is correct that Sharia law and Islamofacism have no place in western society, but that doesn't change the fact Maher is still odious scum and wrong the OTHER 95% of the time). In any case, I'd trust Rudy on my side far than DIRT, ESPECIALLY if you compare what they fought for in the courtroom.

By all accounts, Rudy did an impeccable job in the Reagan justice department and prosecuting the mob, long before he was "American's Mayor".

DIRT went around claiming OJ Simpson was an innocent victim of racism, Jeffrey Epstein didn't do anything wrong, Harvey Weinstein is a swell guy, Bill Clinton did not have sexual relations with THAT woman, and, of course "I like Joe Biden. I've liked him for a long time, and I could enthusiastically support Joe Biden".

By their fruits will you know them.

Yes. If would piss off us MAGAs, but what will anyone do about it? Nothing.

We’ll show up in the thousands of millions and vote the democrats and RINOs out in 22....er, yeah. What was I thinking?......It’s who COUNTS the votes that matters.

Even right, Giuliani’s failure to succeed in the election cases - for whatever reason - makes him a poor choice to be a face here.

Rudy isn’t that articulate as a speaker. The previous impeachment team had the delivery chops.

This is all farce. You can’t impeach a man who is already gone.

Would be hilarious if they say he can’t run in 2024 but he still got the most votes as a write-in.
