Hawley is the first Senate Republican to do so
Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., on Wednesday became the first Republican senator to publicly say he will object to the certification of the presidential election results when a joint session of Congress meets in one week to formally certify President-elect Joe Biden's 306-232 Electoral College victory over President Trump.
Roughly a dozen Trump supporters in the House – led by Rep. Mo Brooks of Alabama – have said they will challenge the slate of electors from six battleground states where Biden narrowly edged Trump in last month's election. But the challenge of at least one senator is needed for both houses of Congress to debate the objections.

[If only more of our reps understood that we are in danger of losing our Republic. And once it is lost we will never, ever get it back.]
I agree. And if that happens, it will never be the same again.
Ever.
We need to fund Blackwater security for him and his family. Same with all MAGA politicals. The other side, like all communists, will attack physically. Them and their families.
I say let’s open the season on Pantifa/BLM shock troops. SSS.
I hope he has 24/7 body guards and stays away from Fort Marcy Park.
i give walmart a pass. it was an employee . they quickly deleted it. apologized
person probably wont get fired
of course he it has been said to Biden the person probably would have gotten the boot
House Democrats attempted this in 2017, but they couldn’t get any Senators to join them, so they couldn’t lodge a valid objection under 3 U.S.C. 15. Biden correctly shut them down, because debate is not permitted in the joint session under 3 U.S.C. 18. They interrupted 11 times, until Biden turned off their microphone.
Hawley will have Representatives join him, so he won’t have the same problem. The houses will have to withdraw to separate session, allow debate (5 minutes per member for a maxmimum of 2 hours), and consider each objection. However, because both houses have to concur to reject a ballot, I don’t see any plausible scenario where any votes are rejected. But they can make the process last a long time.
What about Cotton?!?
Kudos to Senator Hawley!
And even if they don’t, the objection requires the concurrence of both Houses, so they would need 6 House Democrats to vote with House Republicans for any objection to succeed.
According to the company’s website, Dominion serves more than 40% of U.S. voters, including customers in 28 states and Puerto Rico
Not that it really matters.
If they just reject Pennsylvania and Georgia it would kick the election to the House and if the Republicans are faithful to their party, Trump wins.
Would any leftist give you a pass for any of your remote connections to Trump, MAGA, Republicans?
I dont boycott stores because their CEO is a liberal..
I go buy the products that I want.
His objection plus about one dollar will get him a cup of coffee at MacDonalds.
” if the Republicans are faithful to their party, Trump wins.”
A big IF there.
Rather magnanimous of you......
.
I DO boycott.......whatever it takes!
Walmart has taken over every large and especially small towns....
....most small towns are absolutely dependent on those Chinese made items....

I’m short on sympathy
The 80 yard Hail Mary play begins. Three cheers for these courageous patriots.
I like to think of them going up against the Detroit Lion’s.
any senator who fails to join in this effort to True the Vote will never, ever get a penny of support from me, not one cent.
this Election Theft is so OBVIOUS there’s NO excuse for any senator to fail us now
They worsened / profited off the opioid crisis.
They don’t deny using slave labor.
They are raking it in during the COVID crisis while small businesses are dying.
And now they don’t even hide their disdain for flyover country.
But, YOU keep shopping there. Don’t let scruples stand between you and a good deal on plastic rubbish.
They know. They just don't care. They will still be the elite under whatever monstrosity takes the place of the Republic. They've already made the deal.
And, according to anonymously sourced reports, Senate Majority Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) told GOP senators that they should not take part in the House GOP-led effort on Jan. 6. Another Republican, Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas), said the attempt to challenge the votes is an improbable one.
“It’s basically going through the motions,” Cornyn said, reported The Hill. “It’s a futile exercise.”
