A video recorded in Jacksonville, N.C. appears to show the manager of an AMC movie theater refusing to allow a reportedly disabled child from entering the theater without a mask, and calling the police to escort her distraught family from the scene.
The child, who was in a stroller at the time of the incident, is reportedly non-verbal and has a condition that precludes her use of a mask or face shield. The child's family members were all wearing masks.
Police officers were ultimately asked to escort the upset family from the theater.
The Jacksonville, S.C. Police Department and the AMC Theatres chain did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Public health policy surrounding the use of masks on toddlers and children has become a subject of controversy over the last several months. Throughout the pandemic, there have been countless stories of families being thrown off flights or having flights canceled altogether because a baby was failing to don the required facial covering.
Children are not immune the novel virus, but they have been shown to catch and spread it at a significantly lower rate than adults do.

Unfortunately the cops are always put in a bad spot. All I can say is that AMC just lost my business. Plus, I’m not paying 15 dollars to sit in a chair being forced to wear a face diaper that does nothing other than to make the leftists feel empowered!

They’re going out of business anyway. There are some silver linings in this massive dark cloud. They charge too much for popcorn and sodas. F em. Drive in theaters will make a come back. That way my wife and I can make out in the back of our truck.

I know of a person who owns a popcorn cart and uses it during town events. He nets over $6,000.00 per event. $5.00 for a large bag of popcorn that cost him $0.25.
We went in August when things opened up. It’s a small town one screen theater. People who came in together were seated next to each other, but we were told to sit with a row between us and at least 3 seats from the other group. So it was socially distanced. People wore masks when they weren’t munching on goodies. I would say attendance was maybe 15-20% of the usual. We were trying to do our part towards keeping our little theater opened.
AMC is majority owned by the ChiComs. Screw them.

The cop likely has no choice other than to remove the family from the theater. It is private property and the “agent” of the property wanted them removed.
Under the ADA, the family can sue AMC who will likely settle to make the bad publicity go away if they do not go bankrupt and out of business first.
We are living in insanity.
