Check this Tweet out. I have not been able to confirm it, but this guy has a big following.

“Trump has 274 EC votes to Biden 266! HISTORIC AND UNPARALLELED - PA, GA, MI, WI, AZ, NV, and NM all had GOP electors cast votes for @realDonaldTrump. That preserves
@POTUS right to remedy fraud with his own electors. MSM isn’t recognizing what happened bc they want you upset!”

Thank you for the info. I hope between now and then we come up with even more proof of fraud I think we had more than enough. I see right after the electorals met the info on the dominion machines they audited came out in GA. 68% of votes switched. Or 68% error rate or something that was really bad. This should give the green light to check them all out. What they will find will be total fraud.

I just saw a news clip on newsmax about alternate electors chosen by MI legislature.

I believe the story is incorrect. The Michigan legislature was not in session yesterday. What allegedly voted is all these states was the slate of Republican electors that would have been seated had Trump won the state. None of they have been appointed or authorized by any of the legislatures.

Someone needs to read the law - specifically 3 U.S.C. §15 - and understand that if electors are challenged - it is not state delegations that vote - but both chambers. This happened last in 2005 when Feinstein challenged the Ohio electors. The house as a whole rejected it - not the state delegations.

THIS is fantasy - a LARP. It won't happen.

But feel free to continue to play along until January 20th if it makes you feel better.

No. Please explain to the uninformed exactly how this helps the POTUS?

Short answer is that helps the election be contested on Jan 6th.

Found this summary link helpful in following procedure. To summarize further: Mike Pence, as President of the Senate will count the electoral votes received by him and the archivist. If there were more than one set of electors sent in, he needs to sort out which he will count. After he counts and announces the winner before both legislative houses if there is at least one member of each of the houses who objects to the count it is a contested election and they have to sort out which electors get counted in congress. If there is no 270 majority that is reached by any candidate then the electoral college becomes moot and a procedure of one vote per state through the house of representatives is used with the Republicans having a huge advantage.

These electors give Republican objectors or Mike Pence delegates to count for Trump so that they can contest the election. Without them, it would be much harder to disagree with the count.

I believe that tweet is a reference to competing slates of electors in several states. It’s not at all clear that the GOP electors will be considered valid. The Democrat electors would seems to already be certified. Now, this may open a path to a contested election and it may have a payoff. But it is not quite accurate to say that Trump suddenly has 274 EC votes.

It is probably over, but might not be. The electoral college count might be contested in congress on Jan 6th. Without these GOP electors sending in the votes for Trump it would be much harder to contest it. Here is an outline of the dates/procedures

Ignorant people believe this is important in some way.

They’re just not quite sure what it is.

But the claim is a lie.

Not a single legislature in any state has certified a competing slate of electors.

Not one.

Good question. Not many options open. Maybe one of the court cases WON’T get thrown out. Or, maybe the 12/18 DNI report will result in implementation of EO #13848. Or maybe the Congressional remedy for a disputed election will be enacted. Next-to-last resort would be some form of limited martial law. The very last resort is the one to be feared the most: Americans fighting against Americans.

IMHO, no one knows what will happen. There are two schools of thought on FR. Each believes it is right, and that the other group is wrong. Although there are similarities between the current situation and other contested presidential elections in the past, the survival or death of the Republic itself wasn’t an issue then.

Not a single legislature in any state has certified a competing slate of electors.

Was not aware that State Legislatures certify the votes. Thought that was usually the Secretary of State or the Governor.

Those had their own threads, IIRC.

Here is a link to one of the threads about Wisconsin. Go to post #18, by selfloathingmillenial, for a good encapsulation:

Here is a pretty good thread on what happened with MI. I do not like that governor at all.

They didn't certify them either.

Constitutionally the legislature determines how electors are chosen. In the past election that was done by the voters. If there is to be a competing slate of electors then the legislature has to chose them. Yesterday none of them did.

The state legislatures are the ultimate authority.

In all cases they have delegated the role to elections, the executive and SOS.

However, they maintain the constitutional authority to name the electors directly, and without regard to any other entity in the state. It’s plenary authority.

None have chosen to do so, despite all the headlines posted by dumbasses in the last 24hrs.
