Competing slates of electors, one certified by Gov and SOS of each state, and one by legislatures.

Thank you.
“Congress will have to decide which electoral votes to accept”
And THAT is where I am beyond sceptical.
Same here...
This is the first time I have seen that the GOP slates had been submitted by the state legislatures. Of course, the media would never mention that inconvenient circumstance (if true).
Question is....is it true??
I only accept breaking news from Gateway Pundit, and I expect a “BOOM”, “Bombshell”, “Tik Tock”, or numerous exclamation points.
It’s integral to 47-D chess...
If it has all caps and numerous exclamation points, one can never post it enough...
There are no competing electors. This slate was not chosen by the voters, as state law mandates. They were not chosen by the legislature, as Congress empowers. They are self proclaimed electors with nothing to support their claim. They may gum up the works slightly on January 6th while Congress dismissed them out of hand, but as things stand now this action accomplishes nothing.
I am not 100% sure but I think I have a pretty good idea.
I think the way it goes is that there is a process to count the electors that will be led by Pence.
There are 2 ways it could go down....
1.) If a HOR member and a Senator challenge a slate of electors, each body meets in private to vote for which slate to choose. They must both agree NOT to accept the slate that was certified by the governor and accept a different slate. This would require clear fraud to be proven beyond a shadow of a doubt between now and then so that even the Democrats would agree. We would need to peel off a handful of Dems in the House to vote for the R electors in the states that sent them. That seems unlikely.
2.) It is unclear how much liberty Pence has in changing the rules or affecting the outcome of the electoral college vote process. The law seems to say he is running the show but it does give an outline on how the process is supposed to run. It is unlikely, but he could conceivably say...”Nope. I’m not accepting the electors the way they are. There is too much fraud. We are moving to a contested election.”
At that point the state delegations would each have one vote and there are more states with R majorites than D majorities.
This series of events would definitely get challenged by the Dems in the Supreme Court. Who knows if the SCOTUS would continue to stay out of it or if they would step in and change the outcome.
Someone correct me if I am wrong.
So let’s say Nanshee only acshepts the DEP (Damned Evil Party) electorsh, and the slim majority of Dems makes it fly. It’s still a victory that we are spoiling their victory and making it more equivocal. Resistance is a full-court press. They would have done the same if they could have.
If (by some miracle) congress was going to reject the electors that were certified by the Governor, wouldn’t they need another slate of electors to vote for?
Or would simply NOT selecting the slate certified by the Governor be enough to through it to a contested election?
You don’t know that state legislators can send their chosen electors who displace the fraudulent electors by fraud election?
US congress has no constitutional authority to reject electors chose by STATE legislators.
One would assume. But the slates "elected" yesterday aren't certified by anyone. So if the legislature is going to select an alternative slate they can go with anyone they want.
Or would simply NOT selecting the slate certified by the Governor be enough to through it to a contested election?
Also a possibility, which also makes the GOP slate irrelevant.
Well they can challenge them and if the challenge succeeds then the electors are out.
But in this case the GOP 'electors' are not chosen by the legislature so Congress can refuse to consider them without any problem.

The Michigan electors tried to vote, but were stopped by the state police, upon orders from Witchmer.
I just saw a news clip on newsmax about alternate electors chosen by MI legislature.
Constitution does NOT give congress power to reject electors selected by state legislature.
VP Pence will be counting electors not congress. See my tag line.
AZ Central has a headline stating they were “fake electors” who were attempting to do this. I can’t access the article as I don’t have a paid subscription to the paper.
See post #37
It would be amusing if Pence “counts the votes” in a completely uncaring manner and then just announces “Total for Donald Trump is 300 EC votes, so he will get a second term”.
People would be outraged at this “naked steal”.
But it’s how they did it, right?
