Texas Sues Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin at Supreme Court over Election Rules
Breitbart ^ | Dec 7, 2020 | Joel B. Pollack

The State of Texas filed a lawsuit directly with the U.S. Supreme Court shortly before midnight on Monday challenging the election procedures in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin on the grounds that they violate the Constitution.

Texas argues that these states violated the Electors Clause of the Constitution because they made changes to voting rules and procedures through the courts or through executive actions, but not through the state legislatures. Additionally, Texas argues that there were differences in voting rules and procedures in different counties within the states, violating the Constitution’s Equal Protection Clause. Finally, Texas argues that there were “voting irregularities” in these states as a result of the above.

Anyone keeping track of which states are standing up against the continued attempted coup?

If this argument is rejected and Joe Biden successfully steals the election, Texas along with Florida and maybe others should secede from the union. Just wait until I can get down there first, will ya.

Excellent. Thanks for reminding me—and everyone else—of Jefferson’s excellent observation.

Let’s say that the Legislatures of all of those States passed a law that said only Democrat votes would be counted in the election, and the State SC refused to grant relief to the plaintiff who sued over the Constitutionality of the legislature’s law. If those States refuse to remedy its own government’s illegal conduct, then surely it is another state’s business how those states run their elections.

Just because it involves an election doesn’t mean it is only a political question. As you said and I’ll add “first and foremost it’s”, a plausible Federal Constitutional issue, AND the Supreme Court has original jurisdiction!

Love that montage...

The Texas lawsuit...now we are talking...

If it gets to SCOTUS...should be a slam dunk constitutionally...

Either SCOTUS declares state elections in the non-transparent states null & void, or requires those states legislatures to each send a new slate of electors to Congress...

Then, get the riot police and militia out in force ASAP...

“Every singe state that voted for President Trump has standing under equal protection under the law.”

I’m curious why you put it that way.

Every. Single. State. Has standing.

Whether the SOS chooses to exercise their ability to bring a case to the USSC or their states’ supreme court is an entirely different matter.

In any state where there is cheating/mismanagement or other tainting of the vote, it impacts all voters/electors. That dilutes everyone’s vote regardless of party affiliation or who won because the entire process is tainted.

They will use the “no standing” excuse.

Texas has no business telling any other state how to conduct their elections (just as CA has no business telling TX how to conduct their elections). This is clearly unconstitutional.

Consider this:
Texas entered into an agreement with other states that provides among other matters, that each state will act in the same manner with regard to a specific action. When a state ignores that obligation each of the other states is damaged.

More than one thread. Please consolidate. G-d bless Texas, but the Supremes won’t. No standing to sue. Citizens of those states might sue, but not a different state, or even a citizen of a different state. That’s my gut feel.
