Newsom does not know it yet, but he is going to be recalled by the voters just like Gray Davis was. I have already signed the petition. Yes I know that Schwarzenegger turned out to be worse than Gray Davis, but the will of the people of California is ignored by the Democrats in Sacramento and recalls and ballot propositions are the only means available to us to exercise any control over those plutocrats.

Sheriff of LA County (I think) says he will not have his deputies do ANYTHING to enforce newsome’s dictatorial rules.
He said he is tired of his office getting blamed for the stupid decisions of the government.
Newsome is just going through the motions. He issues orders but does nothing to enforce them. This way when he runs for President he can point to his strict response while at the same time not angering those who refuse to comply. The only enforcement he’s doing is with administrative edicts to the counties and states using the threat of cuts in funding. It would be comical if it wasn’t so impartial on the citzenry.

Since there is no definition of essential, this means they can arrest you for any reason or no reason. Is it essential to go out to buy a bottle of aspirin? dogfood? a newspaper?

An essential traveler would be a truck driver, fire personnel traveling across the state to fires. I had a coworker travel halfway across the state with his wife for cancer treatment. I am traveling to do prescribed burns and hauling livestock. there are lots of categories of an essential traveler.
I do agree that it smacks of the Gestapo’s enforcement of who may and may not travel and the idea of who is an essential worker as to what labor camp they go to. As these idiots are not very well educated, they either do not know or do not care how totalitarian their nonsense sounds.
