SACRAMENTO, Calif. — California’s stay-at-home announcement also includes effectively banning leisure travel. All non-essential travel is restricted statewide.

This is an effort to stop people from mixing with others outside their household, getting the virus, and spreading it once they get home. But hotels and flights are already booked. So, what now

What the heck is a essential traveler?

1. Governor of California

2. Movie Stars and Producers.

3. Wealthy Democratic donor.

4.Democratic Politician

If it hasn’t started by now...it’s never going to start.

You couldn't be more wrong. You think that, after generations of comfort and security, believing fully that "it could never happen here", people are just going to pick up their weapons at the first annoyance, or even the tenth? Nope - they have to be pushed into it, and that's exactly what these idiots are doing. Whether it is by accident or design, I don't know, but they are doing an absolute bang-up job of guaranteeing that bullets start flying.

We have plans to travel to CA. To visit our kids and grandkids. We’re not too concerned with the airlines but don’t want to get stuck in some hotel. We usually don’t like to stay at our kids’ homes but we may have to this year.

Since there is no definition of essential, this means they can arrest you for any reason or no reason. Is it essential to go out to buy a bottle of aspirin? dogfood? a newspaper?

How easily our elected officials slide into fascism. It’s almost as if they were fascists all along and just now got in touch with their inner mussolini.

Travelling to a mostly peaceful pantyfa/#bm PROtest in a cooperative decent manner. That apparently is deemed essential travel.

Just tell the officer you’re going to Wal-Mart or Home Depot, and they probably have orders that this kind of travel is essential!

No, tell them you’re going to a strip club, and/or liquor store, and/or weed store. ALL “essential” activities, according to our benevolent overlords.

An essential traveler would be a truck driver, fire personnel traveling across the state to fires. I had a coworker travel halfway across the state with his wife for cancer treatment. I am traveling to do prescribed burns and hauling livestock. there are lots of categories of an essential traveler.

I do agree that it smacks of the Gestapo’s enforcement of who may and may not travel and the idea of who is an essential worker as to what labor camp they go to. As these idiots are not very well educated, they either do not know or do not care how totalitarian their nonsense sounds.

Stop calling it “stay at home” and call it “House Arrest”.

Just like after the Memorial Day weekend, the Independence Day holiday and Labor Day weekend, this is nothing more than "punishment" by Newsom the Vile and his cabal of unelected bureaucrats for "disobeying" their commands.

Newsom truly is a despicable politician worthy of everything that is hopefully coming to him ... maybe ... someday ... I just don't know any more.

But what I do know is this: Just as with every previous announcement, mandate, command and diktat pronounced by Newsom the Vile since April, I'll just go about life as if it doesn't exist ... as if Newsom the Vile isn't my boss and cannot command what I can do or not (though I do have my "F*uck You, Gavin Newsom" mask ready to slap on should a store manager or employee ask me -- politely -- to don it ... their private business, their rules.) That's the way this boy rolls.

“is just going through the motions. He issues orders but does nothing to enforce them. This way when he runs ...”

Good analysis.

One thing to add, the little brown shirts are the enforcers.

Where can I find a legitimate petition to sign, been on line looking for one and there seems to be as many scams as there are for joe BRAINDEAD.

Want to make sure I sign with a signature that will be COUNTED.

Who does the oversight of the recall? Who enforces the recall election? CA was a lot more honest 20 years ago, then it is now. He’s not going anywhere. Yes, I signed too even though it’s pointless.

Go to a rally where people are protesting against the shut downs. That is where I signed the petition in San Diego. The petition gatherer was very careful and made sure that the signatures are in black ink and there can be no abbreviation of the name of the city where you are registered to vote.

I know that the recall effort will not cure our problem, but Newsom has to go.

If there are silent coups, there can also be silent revolutions.

Time to start thinking of the ways to revolt unnoticed.

Non-compliance takes many forms and can be harmless to others and destructive at the same time.

Silence is golden.
