Public health officials are bracing for a new round of COVID-19 case spikes as many Americans traveled and held large family gatherings over the Thanksgiving holiday in defiance of mitigation guidance from the government, Dr. Anthony Fauci said Sunday.
Fauci, the nation’s top infectious disease expert, warned that as the nation heads into December, officials expect “we might see a surge superimposed on the surge we are already in.”
“I don’t want to frighten people except to say it’s not too late at all for us to do something about this,” he said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” Fauci urged Americans to take precautions, including social distancing and wearing masks during and after travel back home.
Even with vaccinations likely to begin within weeks, Fauci said the nation is entering “really a precarious situation.” He noted that infected people may not develop symptoms for two weeks, and asymptomatic people can still spread the virus.
“We are going to have to make decisions as a nation, state, city and family that we are in a very difficult time, and we’re going to have to do the kinds of restrictions of things we would have liked to have done, particularly in this holiday season,” he said.

If Fauci had anything to offer other than grim predictions and scolding then he’d have done it by now. I can get that from my wife, I don’t need to hear it from this hack anymore.
It has been verified time and again that the microscopic Covid molecules can pass through any commercial or homemade mask. The entire nation would need the masks that Hazmat crews use which are not available to the general public.
As I've said many times, I believe the contagion is through touch. No matter how much a business cleans their facility, an infected person can come in right behind and leave the virus on a railing, et., and before the cleaning crew can clean that spot after, others will pick it up and touch their faces later.
I've repeated our protocol many times. But once again: After getting back in the car from grocery store or wife's or my appointments, we immediately wipe down anything we have touched or will touch in the car, including the closing handle, seatbelts, steering wheel, and ignition button. We keep pure alcohol in the glove box and both carry disinfectants in my pocket or her outside of purse.
ANY item that is to enter the house is disinfected with clorox wipes or spray (all sides & top to bottom) in the garage with the bags thrown away first. Once done we disinfect our hands before touching the garage doorknob to enter. We even spray the bottom of our shoes and take turns spray our clothing. We do wear masks when in close proximity to others (grocery store), but only for their assurance.
This is about touching infected surfaces and then touching your face, which most people do dozens of times a day. Masks do nothing as is obvious from this new surge. Keeping hands and objects disinfected is the key.

Yup. Another thing is if you feel the air coming in when you inhale with the worthless paper painter masks, the mask is doing nothing. One more time: The Corvid-19 molecules are smaller that the masks most people wear, even if you double or triple the layers. You need a Hazmat type mask to stop those molecules or at least a N95. The 6' distance is a joke.
It's all about touching infected surfaces and than rubbing your eyes, scratching you nose, or rubbing your mouth. That has always been the case with colds and influenza, other that being directly sneeze upon. Think: Why is it that during cold/flu season when children are in school, it spreads so rapidly? They touch everything and then rub their faces continually and then bring it home.
Sheesh, I can't believe we are destroying our economy because of useless masks and not promoting disinfecting hands.
I’ve been to THREE admittedly small thanksgiving celebrations. There were still good times, discussions, laughter and jokes. In two of them, I saw my cousin and his family, who all are from Pennsylvania, which currently has a significantly higher testing positivity rate than my state, Maryland.
I’m not worried.
Masks make people sick...prove me wrong.
I know masks may have a modest positive effect, but I still find it disturbing to see so many people wearing them in uncrowded spaces outdoors. I typically walk right up to a public facility nowadays before putting mine on and entering.
Then boycott the airlines if you can. Heck, I’ve done that since the TSA started feeling people’s balls.
Trump, to his credit, is trying to make the vax free. I personally plan on getting it, provided I don’t get chipped at the same time, but nobody on earth should be mandated to get it.
I wonder how much of this is actually psychosomatic?
We don’t know enough about this virus. Maybe we’ll know more in 5 or 10 years. Hopefully the vaccine will work and the virus does not mutate but it might.
Phew, I’m glad he finally committed this to a prediction. Now I’m pretty sure it won’t happen.

Well Fauci’s a UN guy no matter how you paint him.....so he’s going to carry their agenda....and remarkably they quote one another often.
I have recently read that many who have to wear masks all day long in their jobs get bacterial infections due to the build up of bacteria inside. Has super scooby-do Fauci addressed this?
Solution to Corvid-19; Carry different types of disinfectants and clean your hands/items constantly, and don't touch your face until then. See our protocol above.
