Andrew Cuomo announced Monday.
“Staten Island is a problem. The number of hospitalizations in Staten Island have gone, over the last three weeks, they basically tripled,” Cuomo said during a press briefing at his Midtown office.

So how many cases in the hospital, if they tripled? What were they before? I am having trouble finding the actual numbers.

It is like reading Pravda in the old days. There would be stories of how production of a given item “Increased 33%!”, but there was no mention of how many units that was.

months ago all the stats were right there on a homepage dashboard. sub-divided, sorted, categorized, sliced & diced in every/any conceivable way.now you need to search for the numbers you want.

Isn’t Staten Island the city’s one Republican borough? I know Trump carried it in 2016.
Just listened to interview with Dr. Mike Yeadon and Dr. Claire Craig about what is happening in UK. The interview was conducted by Dr. Reiner Fullmich. Inexplicably there are very few influenza cases being reported in the UK at a time when the hospitals usually see high hospitalization rates. What they feel is happening is that people with the flu are being tested for COVID first and not being tested at the same time for influenza. When you wait to do the influenza test after you get a negative for COVID, it’s too late to get a proper reading for influenza. Influenza testing must be done at first sign of symptoms. Additionally, the PCR tests are now being conducted without any prior testing to determine what is the false positive rate. Dr. Claire Craig believes what we are seeing in Europe and the US is a false positive epidemic. People are definitely sick - but they are not sick with COVID.
The data for the PCR COVID testing shows a high positive rate but low symptom rate and a high hospitalization and morality. In other words, COVID is not severe in the positive cases, yet people are dying! This is what a false positive epidemic looks like.
Recent massive lateral flow testing in Liverpool showed that there is actually not a lot of COVID virus in the public anymore. The government is interpreting this to mean the lateral test is “missing” some of the virus. However, Dr. Craig says they are being blinded by their mathematical modeling which keeps telling them there are more people susceptable to COVID than there actually are. The government is listening to mathematicians and not other scientists like microbiologists, pathologists or virologists.

According to Vitals website Staten Island has around 1800 hospital beds distributed among 8 hospitals.
This disease is amazing. It knows when elections and holidays are coming up
And it knows how to count and detect members of the same family.
