CHINA today warned the UK and its allies that their "eyes will be plucked out" if they carry on "meddling" in its affairs in Hong Kong.
The Five Eyes alliance was hit with the bizarre threat after the group demanded Beijing end its crackdown in the former British colony....
Britain and its four partners - the US, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand have frequently condemned the Chinese government for allegedly trying to crush dissent in the South Asian financial hub.
Now a Chinese foreign ministry spokesman has warned the countries to stay out of it affairs saying: "They should be careful or their eyes will be plucked out.
"No matter [if] they have five eyes or 10 eyes, as long as they dare to harm China's sovereignty, security and development interests, [they should be] careful not to get their eyes jabbed and blinded."
China's angry response was prompted by a statement that was signed off by the five foreign ministers of the alliance, which blasted the expulsion of four pro-democracy legislators from the Hong Kong parliament....

Hong Kong and Taiwan belong to China and there is nothing we can do about it. Whether it’s a good or bad thing is irrelevant.

China has a problem. They have a big military, but it isn’t for going places. And they have a small nuclear arsenal, not much bigger than India’s, Pakistan’s, Israel’s, completely dwarfed by Russia’s, and Japan and South Korea could bypass theirs very rapidly.
They use what they have, they are surrounded by stronger people who might not wish them well.
Not to mention when they get too froggy, the world market shuts off.

Besides, as a Cultural westerner, why should I care for Taiwanese anymore than I do Nigerians or Afghanis? I want the Chinese contained, but would never risk my life or have any American do so for Taiwan.

Not having official diplomatic relations does not mean Taiwan is part of China. The U.S. does not recognize Chinese sovereignty over Taiwan. Pompeo reiterated that publicly just the other day.
One more time. How is Taiwan part of China?
