By “eyes” do they mean our spy satellites?
Eyes=assets. How about China meddling in our elections?
The post WW II “Five Eyes” (the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand) alliance was centered on intelligence cooperation between the primary English speaking nations instead of forming an express political or economic alignment. That let the countries be allies on a crucial aspect of national security while differing, even bickering in other areas.
Could be.
Or human spies will start disappearing.
I think that’s precisely what they mean. That was my first thought when I read their statement.
If it were up to me, our response would be, “Attempts to blind will be met with decapitation.”
That was my first take. A campaign to destroy or dazzle (blinding with lasers) our satellite constellation.
Yes, I am sure they mean the satellites. But, of course, this headline just had to be made so dramatic. 👁🗨
