I'm one of JimRob's admin mods on his Free Republic on Facebook (Free Republic Official) facebook page. We're 14,000 strong and growing everyday!
Tuesday, election day, most of the threads posted there dealt with the election results and the obvious voter fraud that was happening in the blue states, just like those threads posted here on the FR motherboard.
Well, yesterday and today, FB has cracked down on us, (and other conservative FB forums), even further and isn't allowing any members to openly post their threads without FR moderator approval.
It puts an extra burden on the mods here because none of us are here 24/7 and this is a high-volume forum, members usually post throughout the day and night.
It's just more Hi-Tech censorship bullsheesh that we conservatives have to put up with.
I avoid Facebook and other social media sites like the plague. I have friends who’ve work for FB but these companies make me queasy - they make their money data mining your preferences and choices and selling that info to advertisers. Sorry to hear about FR’s issues on Facebook, but I’d rather interact with FR on this site, not in Facebook’s walled garden.
When I deactivated my FB account for 6 months, I noticed that I never received any more posts from Free Republic on FB. I checked and somehow the group page was gone with several personal friends (not affiliated).

Our heavily subsidized/corporatist, non-uniformed, CCP, and global socialist enemy combatant corporations will soon move against ISP’s being used by conservative oitlets, forcing those who even can, to alternative comms.
The socialized non-uniformed enemy combatant corporations will ultimately move decisively against all independent communication, but the HAM idea may buy a little more time for some.
I miss the days u guys were called “ Admin Mod”.
Get Linda Grahamnasty, Ditch, Coryn, Murkey, Collins, and any other number of GOPee Senators to effectively shut Facebook down.
AH! So that’s why my facebook is snail slow as well. I think this handicapping is systematic and widespread.

You might peek back in; it’s really grown in the last few months, as FB has gone on a torrid censorship campaign.

I encourage “transfers” to either use their FR “handle” at MeWe or put it in their Profile so we all know who each other are across the platforms. YMMV; it’s a suggestion.
Sounds too chinese for me
i had deactivated my FB account after the Floyd riots. i went in this morning and actually deleted the account so it’ll never by able to be active again (yes, i know it is stored on facebooks servers somewhere. but at least for the 99.99999% odds that i’ll never earn my name into history, it’s just better that I have no FB presence. twitter also deleted.
I sent messages to most of my friends on where they can reach me if they want.
like the Obama years, I’ll just lay low and avoid politics as much as possible. If politics chases after me, we’ll be well into the intense war phase at that point.
I noticed about two weeks ago my personal postings were throttled down in groups. Our little city forum that leans Republican was throttled.
I have a verified business entity on the platform and membership from my clients was growing nicely. It too experience an algorithmic slow down. Big Tech doxxing?
I have really been thinking long-term on the tech side of this and the virtual revolution of work...how long will conservative businesses survive on the tech search engines? Right now it has been about SEO, BART, etc. or paying to advertise (bidding actually to be found). My SEO gal mentioned a few weeks ago Google was changing their search function again and getting more detailed/specific to search phrases. If one isn’t saying things exactly the right way, you won’t be found. Talk about thought/language and culture control! So if your keywords are not on trend, hip, up-to-date...?
Why am I posting this info dump here? Because the censorship is going to be across the internet, not just social media.
Preapproval is an option. Is FB Actually requiring this or did the option get changed somehow?
