Your response is interesting; does it take into consideration JD’s #9?

Ahhhh...you had British Sports Car Disease, I see...:)

Lucas, The Father Of Darkness!

I put over 100,000 miles on my 76 MG Midget, which is astonishing, because I had to perform maintenance to make it go every damn mile!!!!!!

Other experts not involved in the study warned that the results should be viewed with some caution — especially because the study did not record before-and-after cognitive test scores.

Oh, so they are just making this story about a decline up. Okay, got it.

They are a labor of love, but when you get them running like they're supposed to, there's nothing quite like having the top down on a warm, clear night and driving with the stars stretched from horizon to horizon overhead :-)

It’s a fake report, untested. People aren’t afraid of dying anymore, so the Covid fear mongers must find new ways to scare people.

The purposeful malpractice by these reporters! NONE of these journolists could sustain 5 minutes on YouTube versus any conservative well-versed in epidemiology!

Why don't we have a ProjectVeritas for every. single. component. of. the. Left's. infrastructure.

Why isn't there a PV-style conservative right now simply taking Fauxi to task on cam??

"Dr. Fauci, is it true that you are deliberately slow-walking the re-opening of the United States as your personal payback, your vendetta against the GOP because as you have repeatedly stated in the past, that President Reagan, in your opinion, did not do enough for AIDS, which was and is your only real area of expertise?"

"I uh, no, no, that's not my..."

"Dr. Fauci, I have 3 interviews here from the 80s where you specifically call out the Reagan Administration as perhaps purposefully dragging out addressing AIDS as the national crisis you wanted; and in one interview you allude to the false idea that AIDS would enter the general population and take on the aspect of a pandemic."

"I uh, that's not exactly how, you need to understand..."

"Dr. Fauci, isn't this really your crisis? Isn't this really your revenge, aren't you simply carrying out a vendetta against a Republican President from 40 years ago? When you wanted the country to shut down over AIDS in the exact. same. way."

"My AIDS research, it at the time, no this is crazy..."

"If, hypothetically speaking, Trump were to unmask your communications in 2020 as was done to him in the last election, would it reveal that you repeatedly reached out to the Biden campaign offering your advice and your fealty?"

"I, no, where did you get this information?"

"I said 'hypothetically'."

"This ... I ... we had talks, updates with both campaigns on a regular basis."

"So you're saying you've spoken directly to Joe Biden? What was said in those meetings?"

"They weren't meeting... look ... look, it is, we are policy..."

"Thank you Dr. Fauci, you can find this online shortly."

Yes! I bought that car, my first one, when I was 19 years old in the USN. It was used, had 26K miles on it, and was...chartreuse!

I admit, I came to love that piss green/mustard yellow color (depending on the light)

When I bought it from that used car dealer down in Jacksonville, FL, I got on the highway with it, top down, prouder than a dog with two tails as I drove back to Cecil Field when...the engine died!

I was in the left hand lane cruising along happily, and had to negotiate a dead stick landing through rush hour traffic over to the breakdown lane!

While I agonized over my brand new car that broke down on me (a harbinger of things to come) I went to get my keys, and saw...there was no gas in the tank!!!!

It was during one of the gas crises of the Seventies, and that SOB sold me the car with about two cups of gasoline in it!!!!

Only if the study is made available in full should it be given the time of day.

“The cognitive function of the participants was not known pre-COVID, and the results also do not reflect long-term recovery — so any effects on cognition may be short-term,” Joanna Wardlaw, a professor of applied neuroimaging at Edinburgh University, told Reuters.

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’ve had my share of surgeries, serious illnesses requiring hospitalization, major stressors (death of a parent), and really bad colds, sinus infections, walking pneumonia, etc. and my performance in schoolwork and work was not the best in the weeks that followed, but my brain kicked into gear weeks later.

Ah, now we know that Biden has caught the virus at least four times.

So they administered 84,000 IQ tests just before these people got the Chinese Flu, and then did another 84,000 IQ tests after they were recovered? Not buying it.

Right, but Biden is the one who can’t remember his own name, and he didn’t catch COVID, while Trump is sharp as ever, and he did catch COVID.

Oh boy, was that from the olestra “fat free” potato chips?

I remember that time and I said, you know, I’d rather deal with heart disease in 50 years than “anal leakage” today.

I really believe this. It is common for folks who have chronic fatigue syndrome to have cognitive issues (and that is typically following EBV or some sort of immune system event) also cancer, and other serious illnesses that may affect the nervous system. So much so that there are neuropsychologists working with them on a regular basis. Still makes me wonder if this virus did not include EBV (since so many folks also get EBV antibodies).

As a general proposition, I agree,

In any event, if the argument in #9 is true, this study may not be worth the time of day, as its finding is already well established as a matter of science -

"...a blood pathogen...causes microclots in a good percentage of people it infects. When not if these clots enter the brain they cause cellular death at the location of the clot. The cumulative effect of losing [the] brain cells is lower cognitive abilities. "

Not necessarily.

Thanks to COVID, I now have cracked glass lungs. My lungs are functioning at 80% of capacity.

Its definitely harder to stay focused. I have no energy. I think the jury is still out on the long term effects, but this was unquestionably life altering for me, unfortunately.

I’m middle aged with no underlying conditions. Just unlucky enough to be one of the folks hit hard.
