‘Is the Pope Catholic?’ used to be a rhetorical question.
Why would he even entertain this idea? He is not involved in government or the making of marriage ceremonies when it comes to civil unions. That would be done outside the church.
He should be speaking of church matters only. He is more involved in ‘progressive ideas’ than actually tending to his flock from the spiritual directions. The flock through this pope is being misled away from directions that are God given through the Bible and starved for spiritual food.
I hope NATO has not extended its defense treaty to the Vatican. We don’t want to be put in the position of fighting communists to defend clerical communists like Francis who is the first Pope to run the church on the basis of Das Kapital rather than Catholic canon law.

I personally think any 2 or more people should be legally allowed to form a “civil union.” That’s fine with me.
That said, the term “marriage” should be reserved for real marriage, between 1 man and 1 woman.
It does get tricky when the Pope voices his opinions about civil unions. Like I said, I personally think it’s legally fine, but when the Pope affirms it, it’s as though he’s saying it’s morally fine ... and it really isn’t if that non-marital civil union includes sexual activity reserved for marriage.
Even in Alberta, ‘conversion therapy’ for homosexuals is against the law. Unfortunately, ‘conversion therapy’ to turn little boys into homosexuals is OK in Alberta, hence the ‘drag queen storytime’ that have happened at numerous public libraries in Alberta.

Are you sure he was the first pope to do it? There have been a lot of evil popes in the past. Surely, one or more of them agreed with it.
There was a time when, if you wanted to really, really emphasize the truth of something, you’d ask “hey, is the Pope a Catholic?”
That doesn’t seem to be working so well these days.

"Abusers of themselves with mankind" (=sodomites) are not inheritors of the kingdom. They do not have sonship through adoption. They are not children of God. Only repentant believers are "children".

A repentant sodomite will turn from his abominable behavior indicating that he is new creatures in Christ.
He’s looking more and more like the False Prophet that does his dastardly deeds during the Tribulation. The unfortunate thing is that many congregants have no clue about this. Same goes for other denominations that are being led by Scripturally bankrupt pastors.
