Cars blocking roads, fireworks thrown at cops, riot police respond with charge. At least 6 arrest so far. Seconds ago ongoing. Not too major yet, but they aren't dispersing either. Line of riot police across road now.

I don’t understand why the police don’t flank these rioters and trap them between two or more merging lines of advance? I would be simple in the downtown areas which are like canyons with only one way out.
