If riots are prevalent, voters will end to reject Biden. Even though the filthy, duplicitous news media does not link the Dems and Biden to the unrest. Some voters will get fed up.
It is a good thing if there are riots, a bad thing is quiescence rules the day. IMHO.
Maybe early 74. I was a confused college student in Providence and attended a Grateful Dead concert then. Have no idea why if they came back later.

I spent 2 1/2 years in school in Providence, late 70s. Back then it was a mobbed-up town with a Republican mayor. I visited again about 20 years later, and that same Republican was mayor again? Still? Anyway he was brought up on charges of some kind, and that was that.
Rhode Island is painfully liberal now. It hurts. I have great memories of Providence. Great memories of New York, where I lived for 24 years after that. Also ruined. And I live in Maryland now, which I absolutely hate. If I think about it too long, I’ll get (more) depressed.
Where are they supposed to “provide” a space for atvs and mopeds? There ISN’T any space. It’s all narrow streets and steep hills.
Why were good old fashioned water cannons not used, since the beginning of all this 5 months ago, just as a way to control the crowds, (and in the bargain, maybe put out arson fires) Why oh why were these measures not employed? Yeah, I know, rhetorical question.
