Biden up by 7 points in Georgia: survey

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden leads President Trump by 7 points in Georgia, according to a new poll.

The latest Quinnipiac University survey finds Biden's support at 51 percent and Trump's at 44 percent, with 4 percent of respondents undecided. Biden led by only 3 points in the same poll in September, before the first presidential debate and Trump’s coronavirus diagnosis.

Biden is now viewed favorably by 51 percent of Georgians, compared to 46 percent who view him negatively. Trump is underwater at 43 positive and 54 negative.

Trump will campaign in Georgia, which last went for the Democratic nominee in 1992, later this week.

"For Trump, 2016 is a distant memory,” said Quinnipiac pollster Tim Malloy. “Defeating Hillary Clinton by 5 points when the polls closed then, and now down 7 to Biden with three weeks to go. Warning lights are blinking red and alarms are going off in the Peach Tree state."

Quinnipiac’s polls have regularly found Biden with bigger leads than other pollsters have found. Trump and Biden are effectively tied in the RealClearPolitics average of Georgia surveys.

Election Day in Georgia will also have major consequences for which party controls the Senate, as there are two seats up for grabs this cycle.

Democrat Jon Ossoff leads Sen. David Perdue (R), 51 to 45 percent, in the new poll, up from a 1-point advantage in the prior survey.

Ossoff has a 10-point net positive favorability rating, while Perdue is underwater by 3 points.

And Democrat Raphael Warnock leads the big field of contenders in the special election race to replace former Sen. Johnny Isakson (R-Ga.).

Warnock has 41 percent support, followed by Rep. Doug Collins (R) at 22 percent and Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R) at 20 percent. If no candidate reaches more than 50 percent on Election...

I got an unsolicited Absentee ballot here in GA. My husband didn’t. I planned to vote in person. What is the safest way to vote now? Do I return the ballot?

Go compare Quinnipiac polls to actual election results. They are so far off it is laughable.

That’s all you need to know.

are ALL of them fake?

Their methodology is deeply flawed--and they are all making the same error.

They are getting about a one percent response rate, and many more Trump supporters refuse to talk to them for fear of doxing and/or just hostility to pollsters.

We went through this in 2016.

Same players, same game, same score = same result.

Nobody has made a credible claim that they have improved their methodology since 2016.

Btw, one minor change could fix this.

All the pollsters need to do is ask one simple qualifying question of each respondent.

"Who did you vote for in 2016?"

Then they would need to adjust their sample to match the known 2016 results for the appropriate area.

Easy peasy.

All it requires is integrity.

"Pollsters" have zero integrity.

None.

Don't be gaslighted by sociopaths.

I live in NC but I am from GA. This is, indeed, horse hockey. Just another push poll by one of the worst pollsters.

Fox uses Quinnipiac for their polling. Enough said.

And look at the long long long lines today on the first day of voting at nine different voting places in Gwinnett County, one of the most conservative counties in the state. It.s heavily populated, too.

He beat Clinton by over 200,000 votes. by over 5%. I can see no way Biden gets more votes than Hillary did.

Of course, Bidenidiot spends most of his time hidden away, not taking any real questions, and spewing dementia-laden garble but yeah, he is up by x amount of points?

Either I live in a world where utter BS passes as news or this country, and world, is literally filled with stupid people, plain and simple.

I give up, and jeez I don’t want to be unpopular so I am just going to vote for Biden just like 95% of America.

How can anyone have a favorable opinion of Biden? He is arrogant, rude, and demented.

Polls are not designed to measure opinion, but to shape opinion and to excite or depress targeted voters. Ignore the polls and watch the behavior of the respective candidates to see what’s really going on.

I will say, these polls at least keep us from being too complacent.

Perversely, I wonder if the demcorat powwers-that-be (powers-behind-the-thrones) realize that?

That is, the demcorat managers “think” they are encouraging their own masses and making their own masses feel good and “successful” because they (the democrat voters) are supporting the “most popular, most successful” candidate
who is leading in the polls”? If they think they are energizing their own base, and discouraging the republican base by releasing false polls showing the democrat candidate is always ahead by impossible-to-catch-up margins, then their expectations provide a reason to continuously release false polls. (That, and the need to justify the riots and “he could not have fairly in an honest election” claims!)

But, in reality, what if it is the opposition republican minority who is energized to vote specifically BECAUSE their candidate is falsely always “behind in the polls” ? What if the republican base IS ENERGIZED by their anger and their frustration at a national media and national democrat party that throws blatant lies in their faces every broadcast hour from every broadcast channel of ABCNNBCBS TV set?

They said this in 2016 as well... but this time, they may have the fraud to make it happen.

I’m feeling really good about FL and AZ if he adds NC and GA. Pt oly needs 1 of the 5 great lakes states.

President Trump is on track to win one Great Lakes state (Indiana). To win the election, he would have to take 2 more (or one more plus Pennsylvania), assuming he gets Iowa.
