NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — The NYPD confirms Rick Moranis was randomly attacked by a stranger Thursday on the Upper West Side.
Police said it happened in broad daylight just before 7:30 a.m. on Central Park West near 70th Street.
Surveillance cameras captured the attack on the 67-year-old “Honey I Shrunk the Kids” and “Ghostbusters” actor.
Video shows the suspect walk up and punch Moranis in the head, knocking him to the ground.

Police said he went to the hospital with pain in his head, back and hip. He later visited the precinct to report the crime.
Now, the search is on for the suspect, who could be seen walking away.

That recent MintMobile commercial is what I thought of when I saw the headline. I hope that “comeback” didn’t lead to him being in NYC and having this happen. That really sucks, especially at 67. I don’t think he lives there.

Watch old SCTV clips and see where some of the best comic actors (Rick Moranis, John Candy, Eugene Levy, Catherine O’Hara, Andrea Martin, Joe Flaherty, and Dave Thomas) of our time got their start. They were/are what makes Canada worthy of some affection from our side.
White people have to always have their guard up when blacks from this age group are around. It would be nice to see someone slip or block the sucker punch and deliver a counter punch to the lowlife’s face. I was conditioned from a young age to never let my guard down around all strangers but especially young black people. I’ve seen them do this all my life. They never want a fair fight. It’s always sucker punch a weak looking person or attack when its at least 4 to 1 in their favor.
