NEW Poll: Lindsey tied with Democrat
Morning Consult ^ | Sep 22 | BY ELI YOKLEY

Posted on 09/22/2020 3:27:25 AM PDT by RandFan

- Graham is tied with Democratic challenger Jaime Harrison, 46% to 45%, consistent with polling since July.

- Graham leads Harrison among white likely voters, 58% to 32%, while Harrison has a 70-point lead among Black voters, 81% to 11%.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) is facing a tighter-than-expected re-election race this fall, according to Morning Consult polling, driven largely by the reticence of some Republican voters to commit to supporting him.

But strategists in the state on both sides of the aisle expect conservatives will fall in line for the three-term incumbent and Senate Judiciary Committee chairman as he prepares to play a pivotal role in advancing President Donald Trump’s nominee to replace the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

We’ve thought about the changing demographics of GA or TX, but we have to add SC to the list.

Maybe this is why Lindsay is so up front about getting the SC nomination done. He needs to get the base out to vote for him.

Yeah, I don’t think so. Reality is closer to Graham having a 20 point lead than an even race.

These polls get more absurd all the time.

Yeah, thanks to that Haley bitch.

I hope Linda doesn’t lose that seat, we can’t afford to give up any more to the Dems’ but Graham was way overdue for a wake-up call. Except for his efforts on judicial appointments, he’s been more or less useless. All hat, no cattle.

strategists [whatever the hell a strategist is-I suppose like a talking head on Fox] in the state on both sides of the aisle expect conservatives will fall in line for the three-term incumbent and Senate Judiciary Committee chairman as he prepares to play a pivotal role in advancing President Donald Trump’s nominee to replace the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Lindsay Graham is a perfidious SOB but he is also a glib SOB who will perform according to form in the hearings and perhaps even make the signal speech of the proceedings, just as he did in the Cavanaugh hearings.

Both Lindsay Graham and Donald Trump will be easily elected in South Carolina.

Does this reply make me a strategist or just somebody with a keyboard?

Graham has only himself to blame. He paid no attention to the beating Sessions took and continued his CYA coupist behavior.

That’s absurd and it doesn’t help. Maybe he’s up by 2 or 3. anybody fool enough to think 20 won’t even show up to vote for him.

People there should vote like he’s down 20

The protestors who gathered at his house yesterday were in Washington DC. The ones who gathered at McConnell’s house were in Kentucky.

THIS is why Graham is in trouble. Even his strongest supporters would admit that he doesn’t represent South Carolina anymore. He’s a Beltway senator and bullsh!t artist who is more interested in getting his face on TV than in getting anything important done.

I expect Graham will win but it will be close. He’s managed to enrage near the entire electorate outside of the country club wing of the GOP. That’s a neat trick for a politician seeking reelection.

SC hasn’t voted for a statewide Democrat in over 20 years.

He nor his campaign team took Harrison seriously, but Harrison’s giving him a run for the money now. I didn’t vote for Graham in the primary. Be all right with me if he was gone. But on the other hand, I agree with others here, we sure need to hold on to this seat. Darn it!

Graham deserves to lose due to his full support of the ongoing coup but President Trump needs a GOP senate to confirm his picks. I expect the GOP base will come around when it’s clear Graham may lose. Sometimes you just have to hold your nose and vote. This is one of those times.

Honestly, I wonder if this isn’t a poll aimed at trying to intimidate Lindsey from pushing to fill Ginsburg’s seat?

It is a nice coincidence how this poll appears now.

Yes this vote to fill the seat will help. Enough of the RINO crap. It’s getting him in trouble.
