The FReeper Canteen Presents....
~ Constitution Day, September 17, 1787 ~
We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
Canteen Mission Statement
Showing support and boosting the morale of our military and our allies military and the family members of the above. Honoring those who have served before.
The Federal Convention convened in the State House (Independence Hall) in Philadelphia on May 14, 1787, to revise the Articles of Confederation. Because the delegations from only two states were at first present, the members adjourned from day to day until a quorum of seven states was obtained on May 25. Through discussion and debate it became clear by mid-June that, rather than amend the existing Articles, the Convention would draft an entirely new frame of government. All through the summer, in closed sessions, the delegates debated, and redrafted the articles of the new Constitution. Among the chief points at issue were how much power to allow the central government, how many representatives in Congress to allow each state, and how these representatives should be elected--directly by the people or by the state legislators. The work of many minds, the Constitution stands as a model of cooperative statesmanship and the art of compromise.

Not only did I know all the words, but then I danced and did a “strip-tease” with my mask! LOL First, I took off one earpiece, twirled it, then the other ear piece, and twirled the whole thing and got some others to do it too.
I am a very naughty girl. hahaha.

Well, they were dancing to MY music.
The stuff that is out now is so lousy that kids have to listen to 50 year old music to get any enjoyment out of it.

It has been a good day, but we didn’t do much. The girls were in school and my son had some computer stuff he had to do. I didn’t mind. I can sit on their deck and see the mountains when it’s not so smoky that they’re hidden.
Tomorrow is our last full day. I’m not wanting to leave, but I do miss the kitties. :)

You’re right about that. I don’t see how they get any pleasure when there is no tune and no words that mean anything at all. And they’re not good to dance to.

Good evening, radu...your storm chasers still on the go?
My friend in Fort Walton Beach got 39 inches of rain since Monday. The high winds finally backed off late morning. I’ll have to ask him if he had to sand bag more than his garage.
Any of the rain gonna make it to you?

Hey there, Kathy.
The storm chasers are all on their ways home now. Or maybe some are still asleep. LOL They had a loooooooong rough night. I’m still a bit tired from staying up later than usual watching the action.
They got a lot of rain around Ft. Walton, no doubt. I dug through YT for videos and most were from yesterday. There was already a lot of water standing even then. I hope your friend’s house didn’t get flooded.
No rain for us, unfortunately. I ran through a brief sprinkle on the way home from the grocery store this afternoon and it was enough to spot up the dust on the car. *sigh*

Dang, and it isn’t even a big pay week. I’d hoped things would be a little less hectic.

Naughty Naked-Lips!
(Sorry! I saw your "mask strip-tease" comment scroll by, and it gave me a chuckle, and I felt a powerful urge to butt in to your conversation here.
Among all the other things, one of the most annoying things about wearing these masks in public is that you can never tell if the person in front of you in the other mask is smiling sweetly at you, or if they're glaring at you with icy, vitriolic hatred or anger.
Take it off! Take them all off!
Sorry -- I'll butt out now.
Mr. Buttinsky.)
:-)

Hey, radu!
It was a very nice day here except for the smoke. It was pretty cool in the house even without AC. Warmer outside. We didn’t do much. Just hung out with our son till the girls got home.
