There's nothing wrong with volunteering to clean graffiti after a riot, but the operative term there is AFTER. You don't clean graffiti by day and then go out at night in an environment where you feel compelled to pack an AR-15 for protection.
He didn’t shoot any bystanders. He shot exactly those attacking him. Something a lot of cops fail not to do. There’s no way he wasn’t trained in terms of firearms usage.
And I used to believe guys in red shirts getting killed was a Star Trek deal.
Have they started a gofundme page?
He’s still a 17 year old kid who looks like he’s ever experienced violence before, much less asymmetrical combat. Also, why was he alone? He needed someone experienced with him to provide him support.
Then why did he not shoot bystanders? That’s decent trigger control for such a situation, it’s better than most adults when faced with people attacking you.
Lin wood offering his service for free. Shout out to a lawyer helping those who cant afford him
.he will pay a price for this one from the mob
Mm, federal makes this a problem, at a minimum (did some quick googlin’). That sucks. Texas would no-bill if the parents gave him the gun.
If you kill a perp breaking into your house with a gun you stole, you may face theft charges, but not murder charges.
Same thing here. How he got the gun, whether or not he had it legally, and crossing state lines aer not really about the shooting. Did he shoot anyone that was not first attacking him?
The Reginald Denny defense should work here. And it is important to note that this particular crowd was already rioting, destroying property, etc.
Interestingly, last night’s protest there was completely peaceful. Apparently it had an effect. :)
Take a look at number 50. He ran around and no one helped. Not even the cops.

Did he have training?
Before I learn of his age I convince he had been deployed to the sandbox. I believe the group he was with were all trained, they were not your stereotype militia.
In the interview, he stated they were there to protect properties and support BLM. I find that very strange.
Say what you will but young Rittenhouse has BALLS in defending himself and taking out 3 of his attackers. It wasn’t always pretty but he maintained control of this weapon and used it effectively in a chaotic situation and under pressure. In my book he deserves an honorary Combat Action Badge.
None of them were even supposed to be in streets either. Why is no action being taken against the rioting? Look how fast that kid was identified and arrested, but look at the foot dragging against the rioters. I think police are part of it. They need to background check their ranks.
I read yesterday that the rioters had been trying to set fire to the used car dealership but they couldnt get close enough, so they started trying to set fire to one of the cars in the lot. He went out there to try to scare them off and it looks like he then got cut off from the other guys at the dealership.
In one of the earlier video segments you can see one of the rioters throw a Molotov cocktail at him. It missed but he took off running. Im not sure of the sequence of the shootings, but it does explain why he was alone.
He needs to be released immediately. Its beyond obvious that he was being chased by a mob and was loathe to shoot anyone. The people who were chasing him are lucky that it wasnt me. Many more would be dead if it had been.
True dat.
Mad props to the kid though. He slotted more commies than “the thin blue line” has done throughout the riots.
So write him a ticket and give him a court date then. What does this have to do with murder charges? Common sense seems to be in short supply here.
