California Is A Failed State. How Do We Know? They’re Moving To Arizona In Droves

The numbers are staggering. According to online real estate company Zillow, the city by the Bay is emptying out.

A flood of new listings began during the pandemic, a 96% increase compared to last year’s housing inventory. Silicon Valley pushed staff to work from home, an effort many tech giants are thinking of making permanent. But that doesn’t explain the exodus since San Jose hasn’t seen the same effect. Neither have Miami, Boston or Washington, D.C., at least not at this level.

The sad fact is, San Francisco has become unaffordable and unlivable at the same time.

The harsh pandemic response has hurt other California cities as well. Gov. Newsom’s arbitrary diktats have shuttered churches and gyms, but ignored massive Black Lives Matter protests and the advantage-taking rioters who followed in their wake.

This is for those who think everyone left in CA are liberal stooges. We escaped CA and moved to Arizona about 2 years ago and found a high desert paradise with lots of freedom. Freedoms that would get ya thrown in cages in California. No joke.

After finding our property and moving, I wasn't sure about one of our new neighbors down the road, who've lived here decades before we got here. (Btw, they're originally from Michigan). Until this morning when we saw a Mark Kelly bumper sticker on one of their vehicles. Say no more...lol. FWIW, being from CA, I wouldn't vote for that anti-freedom leftist under direct threat. And the rest of the neighbors we've met? I'd say 60 percent are from CA, and their great freedom loving people who mind their own business. So many from CA, you can see those folks from CA looking for property here as they cruise the areas with CA plates. Same thing we did. In fact, once we drove from S. CA to AZ and back in one day, just to see a property before it got snatched.

Before bailing while still CA enemy territory, I thought a lot about it, and year after year we watched one after another of our patriotic conservative friends and neighbors bail out of CA. From what I've seen, I guess about 70 percent of those bailing out of CA are conservative patriots. They were like us, and reached their own breaking points.

More on this article here below, but it's a pay site and or want your information, and I all but ignore sites like that.

This is bad for us. We moved to Phoenix two years ago as renters with a plan to buy a house once we got settled in and knew the area. These %^$# Californians will drive up the prices and cannot be good for the politics or culture.

Arizona: the next failed state.

When will the people leaving California realize that, California did not fail. What failed is the people who elected the governments which turned the state into a failure.

When the people of California moved to Arizona, the new state will become the same as the state they left.

When people bring their failed politics with them, failure is bound to follow.

We are having a local election in our little, Southern town. Had someone move in from a leftist state and ran for a city seat. Carpet bagger. Person is leftist as hell. Never seen that here. I think there is $$$ behind this.

I agree with you. As a 3rd generation Californian, I can attest that we are a cancer and should not be allowed to move out of the state. We should stay and fix our own damn mess first.

That’s capitalism for ya.

Btw, where we bought our property the home inventories were nearly non-existent. How fast were homes being sold? So fast we bought ours remotely! That’s right, over the phone because we were in escrow and the property in AZ was nearly exactly what we wanted and we’d already done the ground work and reconnaissance missions to the area.

Thankfully, it all worked out perfectly.

Good luck to you.

Don't forget Nevada, and Oregon, and Washington, and Utah, and New Mexico, and Texas... All Red states that are turning purple because - yup - Californians moved there!

That’s a joke. Look, If I paid for every article or story I read on the Internet, I’d be flat broke. So I just don’t deal with these greedy people.

It is axiomatic that liberals move where there is plenty of money, warm, and inviting. They are like locusts devouring everything in their path. It is a sad fact that if you want to be free, you have to go to where they do not want to go. Forget the seashore.

I know, it is just that we picked Phoenix for personal reasons. We need access to a Traditional Catholic Church in a dry, warm area (child's health condition) with plenty of traditional Catholics in the area that is friendly to home schooling, and affordable. For those reasons, we cannot just live in rural Arizona, where the prices are still reasonable.

I would just like the Californians to try Vegas, or Denver, or Austin. I know ... selfish. The worst part is that I committed the faux pas of wearing a Dodger cap (lifelong fan with family support going back to the Brooklyn era), and people thought I was FROM CA, a state I never visited.

I regret that I never got to see the California of Ronald Reagan, Perry Mason and Sandy Koufax.
