That’s capitalism for ya.

I know, it is just that we picked Phoenix for personal reasons. We need access to a Traditional Catholic Church in a dry, warm area (child's health condition) with plenty of traditional Catholics in the area that is friendly to home schooling, and affordable. For those reasons, we cannot just live in rural Arizona, where the prices are still reasonable.

I would just like the Californians to try Vegas, or Denver, or Austin. I know ... selfish. The worst part is that I committed the faux pas of wearing a Dodger cap (lifelong fan with family support going back to the Brooklyn era), and people thought I was FROM CA, a state I never visited.

I regret that I never got to see the California of Ronald Reagan, Perry Mason and Sandy Koufax.

It was great being raised there and spending many of my working years there. But unfortunately by the time the mid 80s hit, CA was becoming way overcrowded, ugly and mean and the leftist took over and basically trashed everything. Very sad but that’s the way life is, things change..

While our move to the valley was too late to catch the fire-sale bargains of the Obama Depression, we did buy a place here in 2013. It has since gone up in value by close to 30% but I don’t plan to sell it.
