This makes absolutely no sense at all to quarantine the people who aren’t sick.

Well at least we don’t have to talk anymore of other countries only being given fake news. Countries like North Korea and still to some extent China.
We are given false news and propaganda everyday now and it is so common that most have come to accept it.

Sweden also got to a large proportion of their citizenry "trusting their science" in a hands-off approach that is 180-degrees away from NZ. While I prefer the SE approach to the NZ freak show, there should be SOME double-digit level of opposition.

When the New Zealand lockdown is lifted AGAIN, the virus will surge AGAIN. Lockdowns are not a rational strategy and they do enormous harm to the country and its people by devastating their economies and the terrible toll on their mental health.
This woman prime minister is acting like an obsessed mother but the citizens are not her helpless toddler children.
If the prime minister wants to stop death in NZ, she should do something about the dangerous, narrow and twisting highways throughout the country on which so many die every year. The people of NZ drive WAAAAY too fast for their substandard roads. I experienced it first-hand.
The people of New Zealand will learn this lesson the hard way. When they are still being treated like cattle a year from now and the virus keeps returning, the folly of this approach will be seen by all.
this winter is going to be horrible ... the lockdowns have just pushed back when people will get it. It would of been better for people to get it during the summer than this winter.

Sure it does if you want to get the sheeple to accept the idea of full government control over their lives.
But I rarely read about the NZ citizenry pushing back against these COVID19 policies. They seem pretty happy being governed like they're helpless toddlers. To be sure, there is SOME spirit of individuality (not everyone turned in their guns) but, unlike in America where we had protests against lockdowns, I don't see ANY material signs of Lady Liberty in NZ.
To be sure, NZ grew out of British settlers who feared French encroachment, and rather than fighting they ran to England for support...thus, their national identity isn't that of rugged individualism but of asking Dad (or, nowadays, Mom) for help.
But what I'm reading about in NZ is North Korea level of compliance. Maybe it is media bias, but I don't think so. What gives?

Yep. Lockdowns don’t prevent the flu, they just delay the flu. Pure idiocy. Especially with people under 60 being at such tiny risk.
Covid19 is like cockroaches in NY City. Once they were brought in, they are always there. As soon as life returns at all to normal, they will re-appear.
I bet birth rates plummet. It’s going to take time for random strangers to become intimate again.

A big rule I’ve read about in these situations, is that you don’t want all your efforts to simply become an easy way out for someone who overpowers and kills you/takes your stash. Do these people really think support staff won’t turn on them, one mile below grade, because Gates et al gave them gold bars and some freeze-dried food??
