It rains everywhere BUT here. We got an inch and a half one morning and that’s pretty much all we’ve had this month. We got a couple tenths one other day.

Crops need rain badly. So does everything else. And that reminds me, I need to go out to water the little pine tree Hubby transplanted to the font yard. It’s a “volunteer” he found somewhere on the farm and it has a pretty shape. He put it where the Blue Atlas Cedar was that was killed by fire ants. GRRRRR! I really liked that tree.

We’re stuck in this pattern as long as the high sits on top of us. It’s gotta go!!!

Yes, take care of that tree. That’s why we water. I couldn’t live here if our grass and trees died. As it is, the front tree lost a lot of branches during the last drought, and there are patches in the back where grass has quit growing because of the drought we’re in now.

I’ve quit getting excited when I see rain in the forecast. It never happens, and I’m sure that’s the way you’re feeling right now.

A very pleasant good Thursday morning and ((HUGS)) to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your service to our country.

How's everyone doing this morning?

I only water it because it was so recently transplanted. It’s also small so it can be watered with a 2-gal. watering can about every three days. Takes just a minute.

Our grass is starting to look puny but no way either of us will bother watering it. One good rainfall and more grass springs up overnight. Hubby would appreciate a break from mowing. LOL

Yeah, it’s hard to get excited about rain in the forecast. It’s been there every day for over a week but we’ve gotten none. The forecast is boring because it doesn’t change. I just watch in hopes of seeing the last day of the 7-day forecast showing a break in the heat. Not yet.

Guess I need to head out. Republican women’s group meeting in the morning - - the first meeting since Feb. I’m looking forward to it so much I don’t mind waking up early tomorrow. LOL

Good evening, radu...a little nap and I have a few more minutes left in me. So many more problems. Two 2am nights, but since there were 189 errors we couldn’t post yesterday. HURRAH for me! Finished all the “easy” ones last night and all day today finding and getting help from Ruthe to fix things in the background so I could fix them “in front”. Lots of head shaking about why things won’t work. Welcome to my world...LOL! BUT...we might be sneaking up on some solutions. And we’ve had enough sprinkles, twice, to cover the street, but not enough to get anything in the gauge.

And how was your day? Still blistering hot?

Glad the mixers are progressing with you as the supervisor.
Not fun not being able to do what you used to do. Stay safe and stay rested.

We sure did. Gizmo loves to zig-zag through those trees and branches. I had to untangle a number of times ((LOL))

But, we had a great time nonetheless. Park was empty too.

You’re welcome. It is beautiful here, but here in Anchorage we can’t seem to get rid of our “prog” mayor. His only interest seems to be the homeless, no matter the cost. Just raise our taxes. GRRRR!!

Borders so seem to be any issue lately. d:o)

I’m glad you’re looking forward to it. Makes it much easier to get up for it. I’ll probably go now, too. Thank goodness there weren’t any breaking news stories tonight.

Oh...we had another earthquake this morning that Peaches and I jumped at. It was a 2.7 and came at 6:30-ish. At least he didn’t growl this time. I did get up to make sure it was just an earthquake, though. Happened in the same general area as the others. One of these days, the whole area is going to collapse into a sink hole. It’ll take a lot of big houses with it.

Hai Kathy! (((HUGS))) My duty time ends Saturday (no flights) and my vacation starts on Sunday for two weeks; won’t be lazing around much as I’ll be doing jump flights but will kick back for a couple of days and not do anything.

It’s still pretty hot.

I didn’t mind it so much in Florida. It’s SUPPOSED to be hot there.

Hey there, Kathy.

Sorry I missed you last night. Had to head out early so I could get up in time for a meeting this morning. Got a couple of minutes before I leave.

I kinda figured you’d conked out last night. :-) You must have been totally wiped out. I wish things were easier for you with the new ways you have to deal with getting payroll done. Sounds like a nightmare.

Still blistering hot here with no end in sight. They SAID we’d have a good chance for rain in this area today but the only rain I see is way west and north of us right now. *sigh* We can’t even get sprinkles like you’ve gotten.

I hope you got enough sleep to feel somewhat refreshed today.

I won’t say it was easy to get up this morning. LOL I went to bed early but sleep was a long time coming.

I saw the quake on the map but didn’t know if it was close enough to you to feel it. Been quite a bit of shakin’ goin’ on in your neck o’ da woods this year. At least they’re small quakes.
