It rains everywhere BUT here. We got an inch and a half one morning and that’s pretty much all we’ve had this month. We got a couple tenths one other day.

Crops need rain badly. So does everything else. And that reminds me, I need to go out to water the little pine tree Hubby transplanted to the font yard. It’s a “volunteer” he found somewhere on the farm and it has a pretty shape. He put it where the Blue Atlas Cedar was that was killed by fire ants. GRRRRR! I really liked that tree.

We’re stuck in this pattern as long as the high sits on top of us. It’s gotta go!!!

Yes, take care of that tree. That’s why we water. I couldn’t live here if our grass and trees died. As it is, the front tree lost a lot of branches during the last drought, and there are patches in the back where grass has quit growing because of the drought we’re in now.

I’ve quit getting excited when I see rain in the forecast. It never happens, and I’m sure that’s the way you’re feeling right now.
