The Trump administration is attempting to block billions of dollars for contact tracing, additional testing and other coronavirus mitigation efforts that would potentially be included in Congress's next coronavirus relief package, officials involved in the negotiations told The Washington Post.
According to the Post's sources, the administration is also trying to block billions in funding for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that GOP senators want to give the agency as it continues to battle COVID-19 on the front lines.
The administration also wanted to take out billions of dollars that would go to the Pentagon and State Department to allow them to better combat the pandemic both domestically and internationally, the Post reports.
While the talks were fluid, the officials said, the administration’s stance perturbed some GOP senators, who want the money to stay in the bill.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) signaled this week that Senate Republicans' version of a new COVID-19 relief package could be unveiled this coming week, as both the Senate and the House return to session.

I remember one study that said more traffic accidents occur in poverty areas. Of course they never said anything about criteria...like drugs, alcohol. They were just poor.
Now in Rochester NY, they put in red light cams....finally they took them down because they were catching "poor" people and "Government Employees". The poor couldn't pay and the employees were exempt. No more cams.
CDC makes up stats too. The covid19 stats are lies.
Contact tracing made sense when we had a handful, or dozens of cases. Now we have 100,000s of cases.
Maybe he can’t be fired at the NIAID, but Trump and his administration don’t need to pay any attention to anything he says. What a nasty little pr*** he is. Tight with Clinton Foundation and Gates, says it all.
It didn’t even make sense then, since covid is no worse than flu, except that it doesn’t kill as many children and young to middle aged adults. It may even be a lot less lethal than most flu varities.
It is endemic and we are rapidly approaching herd immunity.

Fire him anyway. Let him fight to get his job back. By the time some arbitrator orders him reinstated a couple of years from now the pandemic will be over if he even lives that long.
Next week is going to be interesting, announcement about what he’s going to do about the rogue cities run by Demsheiviks. He also mentioned a lot happening in the next eight weeks.

Even if he still has a desk at NIAID, Trump doesn’t have to give him the time of day or pay any attention to his bulls***. He has no control or authority over anything.
The CDC needs to be just entirely eliminated.
Nor does he have to keep him on the task force.
I have a feeling the entire task force’s days are numbered. Just in the last few days the lies about the numbers of “cases” are making it into regular news.
The Brits have suspended COVID death counts due to numbers padding so it’s not Trump playing politics.
