Masks don’t protect against viruses, and the ones I bought have that as a bold warning on the box.

It’s not about if masks protect anybody. It’s about controlling the populace and leading them around like sheep.

And nobody says a gdamn thing,

We will find out later the wearing of these masks on a regular basis causes damage to your lungs and deprives oxygen to your organs

Well yeah! The surge in covid cases after the mask mandates proves that people wearing masks are still getting covid.

I have been telling people this for many weeks here on FR and other boards. I won’t spend the time on this thread repeating myself.
I will give an analogy from an Epidemiologist who simply states that wearing a mask to prevent viral infections is like putting a dome over your property made from Chain Link fencing to keep out mosquitoes.

Lookit, they’re good for stopping a spray of mucus and/or saliva if you sneeze of cough, in case you have the cooties. They’re not going to stop anything so small you need a microscope to see, or can become airborne as you take the mask off. Face it, sheeple, you’ve been punked.

Lol - I’ll watch out for your non-post that agrees with the study. Thanks for the warning.

Wearing a mask is stupid, and likely harmful.

Can we sue people that demand it - against the science?

Masks aren’t about a virus; they’ve never been about a virus.

I guess it's choose your poison. If wearing masks allows us to go out of our homes and go into some places of business, isn't that better than saying we all have to lock ourselves up completely until there are no more positive tests for COVID?

The best option would be to treat this like any other flu season, but unless we pass a law that says suing another individual or business for giving you COVID is punishable by execution then too many people will be too afraid to fully open up.

The author misrepresents at least one of the studies he cites.

“Meta-analysis of observational studies provided evidence of a protective effect of masks (OR = 0.13; 95% CI: 0.03–0.62) and respirators (OR = 0.12; 95% CI: 0.06–0.26) against severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS).”

Yeah, masks don’t work. That’s why nurses and doctors have been wearing them in the hospitals for about the last 75 years. Or is it 100 years?

Listening to a physics professor talk about infectious diseases is like listening to any other egghead expound on something they are not experts on.

Ask the people who actually are around sick and infectious people if masks work. Why are they wasting their effort of they don’t work?

So explain to us all why all these egghead studies haven’t convinced the healthcare providers to give up their masks. Or are they part of the big conspiracy to shut down the country to control us sheep?

This place is like a magnet for morons.

Isn’t there a delay between initial infection and symptoms? Did you consider that part? So they mandate masks after people have already gotten it, and then they might just keep it mandated nonstop for months and so few get it?

But if you have a coughing problem, should you be walking around in crowds?

Wow - nice attention to detail. I did not catch that at all...

There is some evidence of mask effectiveness vs SARS. Is that right?

“Masks don’t protect against viruses, and the ones I bought have that as a bold warning on the box. “

They will stop droplets from coughing which are quite infective. If you are coughing just stay the hell home. If you are in public and someone is coughing it may protect you from infective droplets. Relative to the airborne viral particle that mask is nothing. It will go through easily.
