Sorry to hear that. He was great on that show.

Was he the guy who tried to recreate the Star Trek TOS gunpowder cannon ?

I really liked him. How sad. Praying for his family.

This is so sad! Rest in Peace, Grant! You were the cool one of the newbies.
My daughter told my wife to let me know a while ago. My wife survived an aneurysm years ago and a few years later her sister died of an aneurysm. My wife recovered completely and doesn't often even think about it.

Poor guy. My grandfather died of an aneurysm; cardiac. It was sudden.
That’s so sad. I spent middle school and high school watching them, and they got me interested in electronics and mechanical tinkering. Grant was also one of the original Battle Bots champions, which I also remember.
That’s so very sad. RIP, Mythbuster.

What a tragedy. He was obviously a wonderful human being. I'm so glad that he was part of that wonderful Myth Busters show. Sorry that for some reason the main guys decided to kick the "youngsters" to the curb.
Now I'm thinking of the redhead: the ultimate nerdette. I hope everyone else associated with the show is doing well.

RIP. Loved Mythbusters.
Way too young.

Played Sulu on the, IMHO, best of the fanfic ST sequels, Star Trek Continues. And was great on Mythbusters.

He was only 50. I bet dying at such a young age would clear Free Republic of more than half its current readers.

When I think of the effort I put into ‘assembling’ a Revell AD-1 Skyraider and the mess that it became, the skills of the CHIEF model-maker for Lucas/THX/ILM humbles me very much. God grant you Eternal Rest and Joy Mr Imahara, you left a good mark here on Earth.
Blessings to your family and friends!

Weren’t Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman the hosts of Mythbusters?

Sad news. I used to watch Mythbusters a lot when he was on with the funny guy and the hot redhead.
I know several people who have had aneurysms who have all (so far) survived. They all had various procedures done to contain the aneurysm.

Wow. I have been watching old episodes of the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. I'm actually watching in time order (as best I can), and I am about month away from when Grant's robot creation, Geoff Peterson, would debut on the show, along with Grant's appearances.
I know there is an episode coming that shows Grant in the building and testing stages (with some funny "mishaps"). IMO, his creation helped provide some of the funniest moments ever on late night TV.
So sad to see he's passed at a far too early age of 49. RIP Grant.
