PHOENIX The federal government could give Americans $4,000 apiece to take a vacation if U.S. Sen. Martha McSallys proposal takes off.
McSally (R-Ariz.) introduced the bill, the American TRIP Act, on Monday, the day before President Donald Trump visits Yuma and Phoenix.
The legislation is meant to act as an incentive to travel domestically. Couples would start at $8,000 in vacation tax credits and receive $500 for each child who is a dependent. Credits would apply for 2020, 2021 and 2022.
It will also encourage Americans to safely get out of their homes and discover or rediscover Arizona along with the rest of the amazing destinations our country has to offer after a difficult several months stuck inside, McSally said in a press release.

This will require a $6000 tax increase per person, right?
+++++
Nope. Hank Rearden, Bezos, Gates, Zuckerberg, Buffett and a few others will pick up the bill.
That will be a NO.
Apparently she does have a screw loose.
Mark Kelly as a senator is going to be so annoying.

I just turned-down an offer to fly out of town because I refuse to wear a mask throughout a lengthy flight with no drink service.

This is dumb and pandering, even by politician standards.
Why can’t Arizona get a good Senator? There are still some conservative possibilities in this state, I think.
I don’t want to vote for McSally, but Uncle Fester would be even worse.
Now thats funny!
With “Republicans” like that, who needs Democrats?
Who needs dims when we have RINOS like her.
I’d prefer a school tax credit of $8,000 for those folks with kids in school. I wouldn’t benefit, but society will.
“This bill can also be referred to as the Clark Griswold Act of 2020.”
RINOs always think they can out-pander RATs.
But what if I want a pony instead of vacation?
With idiots like these on our side who needs Rats.
You’re right. I’m sure those who got hit hardest by this are worried about being able to deduct their vacation money from their taxes :-)
Bread and Circuses, 2020 version.
DO go to the Grand Canyon!! It is amazing.
