San Francisco's Mayor London Breed is setting up her city's social workers for potential bloodshed, offering a series of "reforms" that even her former police commissioner calls "pure political pandering."
San Francisco police will no longer be called to settle disputes between neighbors, or to handle homeless people, or any non-criminal cases, according to a new plan announced by Mayor London Breed.

What could possibly go wrong?
Sending an armed person, trained specifically to scan for and eliminate ‘threats’, when there isn’t a violent crime in process is just going to keep getting us more of the same.
We’re asking people who aspire to the job because of their ‘fight evil’ mentality, people who want to eliminate ‘bad guys’ and asking them to deal with people often suffering from mental issues, drug issues, and homelessness. They aren’t trained for that stuff. Somebody battling demons pulls out a knife and the ‘Tueller Drill’ kicks into play, or some kid has a BB gun and all those highly practiced range time reflexes snap into action.
Insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results. We’re rolling every more militarized police, hyped up more and more on a ‘us vs them’ and thinking in terms of ‘thin blue line’. And getting NOWHERE, except cities burned down and “civilians” more and more scared and pissed.
I guess the police can go I later and pick up the bodies of social workers and question all the people who Didn’t See Nothin.

And tetanus shots.
“Social workers will get slaughtered.”
Is that a bad thing?
If I were a social worker, I’d start looking for another job immediately.

This will be interesting to watch. Hope she will have the social workers going to drug fueled domestic abuse disputes too. A lot of dead Dem social workers will be on her hands. Less votes for her reelection time

I bet SF will pay the new social worker battalions as much as they do trained police, but the duties will be all about how to get them signed up for more welfare.
Rates of assaults, armed and strongarm robbery, rape, kidnapping for ransom, home invasions and property seizure, grand theft and murder are about to skyrocket. Maybe experience will cause some change.
SF cops should just walk off the job! Nah! It’s not in their DNA!
Eventually the social workers will have to be armed and trained to use their arms. Carry handcuffs to detain people who are about to hurt them or others.
Do we eventually just call them police?
