Bible in a Year:
It is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.
My father and I used to fell trees and cut them to size with a two-man crosscut saw. Being young and energetic, I tried to force the saw into the cut. “Easy does it,” my father would say. “Let the saw do the work.”
I think of Paul’s words in Philippians: “It is God who works in you” (2:13). Easy does it. Let Him do the work of changing us.
C. S. Lewis said that growth is much more than reading what Christ said and carrying it out. He explained, “A real Person, Christ, . . . is doing things to you . . . gradually turning you permanently into . . . a new little Christ, a being which . . . shares in His power, joy, knowledge and eternity.”
God is at that process today. Sit at the feet of Jesus and take in what He has to say. Pray. “Keep yourselves in God’s love” (Jude 1:21), reminding yourself all day long that you are His. Rest in the assurance that He’s gradually changing you.
“But shouldn’t we hunger and thirst for righteousness?” you ask. Picture a small child trying to get a gift high on a shelf, his eyes glittering with desire. His father, sensing that desire, brings the gift down to him.
The work is God’s; the joy is ours. Easy does it. We shall get there some day.
What does it mean to you that “It is God who works in you”? What do you want Him to do in you?
God, I’m grateful that You’re changing my heart and actions to make me like Jesus. Please give me a humble attitude to learn from You.

As all physical battles are reflections of those being fought first in the spiritual realm, in the unseen world, we must now take hold of the promises given to the followers of Jesus Christ when He returned to Heaven.
At this time, O Lord, I pray for many things. I ask that Christians everywhere become Bereans, searching Your word in the Bible every day to see what things, including those discussed in this prayer, be so.
I now claim the promises given by Jesus in Matthew 16:19, and Matthew 18:18, and Luke 10:19:
“19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”
“18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”
“19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
” And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. “
Lord God, You said these things to us in Your word, and You do not lie.
I - and any here reading these words who desire to do the same by saying these things out loud - now commence to bind, in the Name of Jesus, the strongman over all the evil spirit powers attempting to destroy this country, and request that you loose (send, release) Your heavenly warrior angels to guard and protect us and our country and attack the evil spirit powers working to destroy us, our country, our people, our economy, Your churches and people, and everything good.
Send us the “rough men ready to do violence on our behalf”, the violence of Your heavenly hosts, and the men of God who have not bowed their knee to Baal.
Let us all stand up and say “Enough!, you children of satan, STOP NOW!” and back it up with giant hoses of water to put out the fires they are setting, to stop them from looting and destroying.
Hedge the White House with giant warrior angels. Hedge all armed forces, law enforcement, fire stations and personnel with the same. Protect us and let us all stand up and defend our country from those demon-infested and directed persons determined to destroy what they cannot completely control.
in Jesus’ Name, amen.

He Who blessed our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - may He bless the fighters of the Israel Defense Force, who stand guard over our land and the cities of our G-d from the border of the Lebanon to the desert of Egypt, and from the Great Sea unto the approach of the Aravah, on the land, in the air, and on the sea.
May HASHEM cause the enemies who rise up against us to be struck down before them. May the Holy One, Blessed is He, preserve and rescue our fighting men from every trouble and distress and from every plague and illness, and may He send blessing and success in their every endeavor.
May He lead our enemies under their sway and may He grant them salvation and crown them with victory. And may there be fulfilled for them the verse: For it is Hashem, your G-d, Who goes with you to battle your enemies for you to save you.

I was hoping for a miserable rainy weekend so I wouldn’t want to ride...but it has been glorious and sunny every day. I live near a highway, and I can hear the Harleys roaring by 24/7. I’m so jealous! LOL!
But at least I was able to re-live the high points of my childhood today watching the SpaceX Launch!
Penny and I did some walking, but my foot has been giving me a lot of pain. Plantar Fascitis! OUCH!
The vibrations of the foot peg on the bike actually give me a lot of relief...like a massage on the arch of my foot. I hope the mechanic doesn’t keep her too long!
