Former Rep. Trey Gowdy accused reporters from CNN, Politico and The New York Times on Sunday of helping House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff “peddle” the now-debunked conspiracy theory of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian government.

Gowdy was asked in an interview on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures” to identify reporters he believed took leaks from Schiff for stories related to the Intelligence panel’s Russia investigation.

“Well, I hope you have a three hour show,” Gowdy quipped.

I am in the same boat as you.

Gowdy was in the best position to defend the truth. I think it is now obvious that he did not.

There are some who did like Nunes, but Gowdy could have been the strongest voice. He wasn’t.

I never understood that statement. Frankly, in hindsight, he was more directly critical of the President’s defense team than the “case against Trump” and we now know he knew that those they interviewed (people who would know) had NOTHING. Nothing.

Gowdy was/is Paul Ryan’s wingman. He literally couldn’t care less about POTUS. Frankly, he probably hates POTUS every bit as much as Pelosi does.

Yep, I learned real young that you don’t believe what a man says...you believe what he does.

Gaetz said the Dems had issued over 200 subpoenas. And Gowdy/Ryan? ZERO. That really says it all. Where there is a will, there is a way...

Don’t forget, it was Gowdy who conducted a multi-year ‘investigation’ into Benghazi screaming that it warranted investigation for two years and millions of dollars but then concluded no one did anything wrong.

In that regard, all roads lead back to Paul Ryan. Mitch McConnell, John Cornyn and a few others all had their hands in that cookie jar, too.

Gowdy did not vote to release this current info! I don’t trust him. Grenell is kicking butt!

Gowdy was always talked big but produced nothing. I don’t pay much attention to him.

It was all hot air and bluster to keep the base appeased.

Exactly - 'red meat for the base'. That was Gowdy's role in the Uniparty, and he played it well.

And his reward is his pension, his Cadillac health-care, and his dacha by the lake, like his counterparts in the Party of old.

Gowdy did absolutely nothing when he had the chance. Just like Paul Ryan failed to act.

I think you can fairly say that Gowdy failed to act. I think that Paul Ryan is more of a co-conspirator who refused to act. It was no oversight, he was working to take down Trump from day 1.

I loathe that lying, despicable backstabbing POS. He's even worse than Romney because he actually fooled many of us back when he was a nobody screaming for fiscal sanity and conservative principles (when he knew it would never happen). Lies, all lies. When he actually got real power we saw who he really was, a man untethered by principles with utter contempt for the electorate.

Not a fan of the bloviating ex-congressman with the rooster hairdo! Wanna know why it took so long to investigate and expose the purveyors of the “Russia, Russia, Russia” BS? None other than Paul Ryan and Trey Gowdy blocked attempts by the Republican/Devin Nunes-led House Intelligence Committee’s attempts to get subpoena power, whereas Adam Schiffhead got subpoena power as soon as the Democrats took the House...

You can definitely see the impact of Paul Ryan being on the Board of Directors at Fox News.

And to think that I once thought that he was one of the Good Guys. Man, do I regret that!

No, Gowdy does do real damage—to our side.

He’s a slimy spinner.
