Former Rep. Trey Gowdy accused reporters from CNN, Politico and The New York Times on Sunday of helping House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff “peddle” the now-debunked conspiracy theory of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian government.

Gowdy was asked in an interview on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures” to identify reporters he believed took leaks from Schiff for stories related to the Intelligence panel’s Russia investigation.

“Well, I hope you have a three hour show,” Gowdy quipped.

Only one name. Oherwise, “Politico”, “NYT” etc. Actual names of the reporters is what’s needed.

The news media in America is now merely an arm of the intelligence agencies, peddling disinformation for the purposes of counterintelligence control of the masses.

All agencies are represented in the news rooms by former agency officials. It's like the Stasi and KGB 40 years ago!

“Gowdy and Paul Ryan blocked every subpoena that Freedon Caucus members tried to issue in 2017 and 2018”

“””Gowdy did absolutely nothing when he had the chance. Just like Paul Ryan failed to act.”””

a double AMEN AMEN from me.

If the Deep State Republicans in the House had done their job in 2017-2018, we would have not had the Mueller/Impeachment farce.

Gowdy and Ryan are only two of the many House Republicans who did nothing when they had control in 2017-18.

Gowdy is a jackwagon. IIRC, he was able to read many of the documents that other GOP’ers on the relevant committees could not. He knew all along it was all a lie, and did nothing, let alone said nothing.

Trey Gowdy’s performance on Morning Futures reminded me of a worm squirming on a hook.

I know that as the Chairman of the House Oversight Committee, he had the position and the power to do far more than what he did. He often talked about issuing subpoenas and so on, but nothing ever came from his endless “investigations” other than some really good sound bytes that accomplished absolutely nothing of consequence.

Feel free to defend that if you will.

“I wanna like Gowdy but has he ever done anything but talk?”

He loves a camera and he’s a fashion maven with haircuts. He retired at an odd time for a politician, look at all the powerful 80+ year old pols still in D.C. Why did he retire?

Don’t make Gowdy the hero. He did nothing when the Republican Congress ran their investigations. It was all hot air and bluster to keep the base appeased.

Bert, you need to check the history books. Gowdy was CHAIRMAN in 2017-18.

Gowdy was never in the minority. We didn’t lose the house until he left. The Repubs were the majority when he was on the committee letting the coup go on despite certain knowledge of the lies.

Gowdy is an attention seeking rat. He constantly railed on Trump when he knew Trump had done nothing wrong.

I would like for Gowdy to tell us why he made those mysterious comments to Martha on Fox news long ago - something to the effect of “if you had seen what the FBI had seen you would want them to act just like they did.”

I never understood that statement. Frankly, in hindsight, he was more directly critical of the President’s defense team than the “case against Trump” and we now know he knew that those they interviewed (people who would know) had NOTHING. Nothing.

Gowdy also defended the Special Counsel when he should have known there was no predicate. “No there there.” How could casual observers like us get it right when a guy who saw much more of this crap than we ever did seemed so conflicted and confused about it all?

Did they lie to Gowdy directly? It appears they did. Why no questions about this?

The Mueller Coup and their police state crimes never happen without top cover from the GOP. POTUS publicly discussed firing Sessions/Mueller only to be shot down by his own party. Trey “If you innocent act like it” Gowdy was a key player in that, obviously. Sad to see so many good folks continuing to be scammed by the coup enabling GOP.

I always figured Gowdy retired because his name must’ve been on the list of representatives who had to be bailed out by the ‘harassment fund’.

Gowdy killed fisagate in the crib. He helped Ryan spike the scandal. Trey is a fraud. Now he speaks up when he is no position to do anything. When we had the House Ryan and his merry band of traitors including Gowdy did nothing.
