President Donald Trump said that Katie Miller, Vice President Mike Pence’s press secretary, tested positive for coronavirus.
Miller is married to Stephen Miller, one of Trump’s top advisers.
Earlier, White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany confirmed on Friday that a member of Pence’s staff tested positive for coronavirus, but she did not identify who it was.
“There is a member of the vice president’s team who is positive for coroanvirus,” McEnany said. “We have put in place the guidelines that our experts have put forward to keep this building safe.”
Many more reporters were wearing face masks in the briefing room, a day after it was revealed that one of President Donald Trump’s personal valets tested positive for the virus. Trump and Pence took subsequent tests that came out negative, the White House said. On a call to Fox & Friends on Friday, Trump said that he was in the same room with the valet on Tuesday but does not recall any direct contact with the staffer, who is a member of the U.S. Navy.

Secret Service agents who work closely with Trump and Pence should sleep at White House. That way, they won’t be going out at the risk of contracting the virus. It would be only for a few months anyway.

I noticed on a close up of POTUS yesterday on the news, he looked like he had really large pores (his whole face) or spots. He didn’t look as tan as usual.
Anyone know if he just has really enlarged pores? I never noticed it before.

I recall to this day the time back in the 80s where our managers addressed our work group that one of our workers had been found positive for hepatitis. They cautioned that if we had shared eating utensils with this person that we were to see a doctor.
So somebody asked innocently, “Who are we talking about?”
“We’re not allowed to say,” said the manager.
“So, how do we know if we could have become infected if you won’t tell us who has it?,” the young lady replied.
“All I can tell you is see your doctor if you’ve shared eating utensils with this person.”
“Shared with who?,” she demanded.
“I’m not allowed to tell you.”
Finally, one of her co-workers took the inquisitor aside and told her to look around the office and notice who wasn’t there. She soon figured it out.
Once the AIDS crisis took off, the nuttiness got worse. Their privacy was more important than any potential victim’s right to know.
My guess is Trump and Pence both take HCQ regularly, just to be sure.
Exactly my thoughts. Just like the Smithfield Meat Packing plant that is owned by China. 3 executives from China visited the plant just before the wide spread. I hope this is not the case but one never knows.
He might be taking it just to be extra sure.
I’m concerned that people may be being targeted for purposeful infection because they work in the White House.
But, the security folks know this is possible, so just hoping for the best. Obviously regular testing is going on.
My guess is the president is tested frequently during the day every day.

With the existence of a machine that can test in minutes I would wonder why anyone coming anywhere near anyone in the White House is not tested before each and every meeting.

When faced with a virus particle of < 2.5 microns in size, please show me any single mask that has zero leaks smaller than that. None. Covid can also enter thru your eyes, as it tends to adhere to the surface of the eye.
To all who think a surgical mask, or even an N95 can protect you, please try this very simple experiment:
1. Put on whatever mask you think will work.
2. Peel an orange.
3. That smell you just received was aerosolized orange oil, larger than 2.5 microns in size.
4. Congratulations, if that were a Covid particle, you just became infected.
Covid has the ability to float in dry, cool air for many hours, and is not generally effected by gravity as much as air currents. Humid air causes it to sink far more rapidly. Enclosed spaces - like elevators or aircraft interiors - have the highest number of virons per cubic meter, and the air is circulated. Covid particles resist sticking on impact from hard surfaces, but do remain lodged in the exterior surfaces of mask fibers, making the outside surface of your mask highly concentrated with particles if you encounter them. Who properly removes and disposes of their used masks??? There are protocols for that.
I stopped wearing masks, they are pointless without the rest of the PPE.
80%+ of cross infections occur from people touching surfaces that have droplets or fomites on them, then they touch their face. Wash your hands, don’t touch your face.
If you have time, please do some quick research on lipiphobic compounds that can eliminate the envelope of lipid coated viruses once. That is our best over the counter defense against this crap, now and in the fall. There are some that have been out of patent for years, and readily available. (Butyl hydroxytoluene for instance.)
We can be sure that President Trump and his immediate staff have a lot of resources to ensure their health and safety in these times. We need to protect ourselves as well, and get everyone back to work.

Good point. Perhaps they are tested each day before they enter the WH and that is when this was picked up.

I was really sick in late February, after traveling. Throat was so sore that I had to look in a mirror to make sure it wasn’t closing. Two days later, I woke up in the middle of the night and I felt like I was on fire.....didn’t get up to take my temp as it was the middle of the night. Had flu-ish cold-ish symptoms for 1 1/2 weeks after. Would love to get an antibody test, but I figure they are a long ways off.
First, why are not every reporter wearing masks? I mean, they get really upset when Pence or Trump doesn’t. (I know the answer, and don’t care that they don’t).
Second, how did she get it? From a reporter? that would be my guess.
Nobody said there’s nothing to worry about.. Life is full of risks.... a virus that has killed 275,000 people worldwide does not justify shutting down economies..... Get back to me once it’s killed 2 million people worldwide, and I’ll tell you the same exact thing all over again
