Look at the Chinese population in the metro area. Not just Chinatown and Flushing, but the Nassau County communities like Manhasset, Herricks, East Williston. Look at the Chinese students at NYU and Columbia. Way back when they came from Taiwan. Now they come from the PRC and 10% to 20% are agents of the CCP.

I hate to break it to my friends in the south but a large number of people here in the northeast are getting ready to head out to states that are no longer locked down. I personally know several who are leaving in the next week or so to Georgia or the Carolinas. Now that the lockdowns here have been extended more people who can afford to temporarily get out are seriously preparing to do just that.

Wrong. East Williston 19 cases. Herricks 75 cases. Manhasset 109. Very low compared to Hempstead village almost 2000 cases. ELmont over 1000. Freeport over 1500. Latter 3 minority towns.
The problem is that we have been talking ( and rightly so) about how quarantines and social distancing/mask guidelines can violate people’s rights. It would be pretty hypocritical to turn on a dime and call for a quarantine and travel ban for the northeast if we actually care about rights. We all may just have to let the chips fall as they may in this one.
Things may have to get worse before they get better.
