Cui Bono?

Recently my niece wrote and asked about my observations relating to the Wuhan Virus pandemic. After much thought I wrote this reply. You may find agreement, disagreement, or simply smack your forehead for any number of reasons.

Thank you for your note and update on y'all's situation and we join you in prayer. We are just hunkered down in the hinterlands where "social isolation" has been the status for any day ending in "Y" just about forever. It is early gardening season for your aunt and I have a never ending menu of projects in the shop so our days are more or less un-disrupted.

That said, I remain exceedingly concerned about your cousin living alone in the midst of a feral population. I can only pray for Divine protection for her, which I do daily.

I am not seeing any escatological implications of the current situation, but then I am not a PTPM dispensationalist so take that conclusion for whatever you think it is worth.

The virus itself is absolutely a serious business in terms of both individual health and pandemic epidemiology. What we do not yet know is how virulent is the transmission, nor how universally manifest are its symptomatic or mortality implications. Since I remain a credit or two short of my doctorate in epidemiology [sarc] I am increasingly bewildered by the competing statistical models are being argued back and forth. I do know for sure it is a pandemic according to the classical definition of the word, but the true danger comes from the whipped up hysteria being promulgated throughout the nation by the megalopolis media.

In thinking about it globally, I continue to ask the same question I always do when contemplating situations where I do not possess direct knowledge.

Cutting to the chase, my own conclusions are that this was probably a bioweapon from the Chinese Communist government, perhaps released inadvertently. All too often we presume that bioweapon pandemics have a lethality approaching a correlation factor of 1. In other words, there is in the general public the presumption that any bioweapon will result in nearly 100% fatalities. Too many movies, I guess. But NBC weapons (nuclear, biological, chemical) work more effectively as a psychological weapon rather than a direct weapon. This virus has all the earmarks to me of a bioweapon whose primary purpose was to destroy a leader/nation/economy while leaving the asset infrastructure intact. Once I bean think in those terms things started to make more sense.

Again, I am in no way downplaying the Wuhan Virus as a virulent and easily transmitted disease. We would be wise to proceed as has been recommended, social isolation, increased hygiene, etc., perhaps even to the point of widespread quarantine. I simply do not possess direct knowledge about that, but once I get those last few credits for my epidemiology PhD I will know all those things.

In every scenario I can construct numenologicially (living between my ears would terrify lesser humans, I suppose ;-)) in every case the beneficiaries are some nearly perfectly overlapping Venn diagram between three cohorts. In fact, two of the circles *are" identical in population, it's just the strategic objectives that differ.

1. Chicoms seeking to distract world-wide attention from the growing instability of their own kleptocracy. Consider that the Hong Kong proto-revolution has disappeared completely from the news. Just. Disappeared. The Hong Kong situation was being replicated in varying degrees across China as the level of discontent was widespread and growing. Some of this is due too the fact that 1) China has the largest population of Christians of any nation on earth, 2) corruption is so endemic that friends of mine, serious people who have been studying Chinese corruption for decades, tell me that a typical day in China has three major protest riots. We do not know this because western media are not interested in discrediting their patrons or are not allowed throughout the country, and 3) the hormonal fuel of 5-10% of marrying age men being denied a wife because of the widespread slaughter of female infants born and unborn. That much testosterone-fueled rage is a force of nature. Remember, this is a regime that has already murdered *hundreds of millions* of their own enslaved subjects, releasing a bioweapon on their own population is hardly a stretch. Even if it killed the USA equivalent of their population it still leaves them with over a billion.

2. Much to my astonishment Trump has been absolutely kicking the behinds of the Chicoms with the very aggressive trade war and the declarations embargoing trade with Chicom allies in Iran, North Korea, etc. I mean kicking their behinds to the point where their implicit promises of prosperity to their enslaved populations are not achievable. So, they needed some means of both destroying Trump personally and the economy of the nation he leads in competition to their own. Propagating terror via a viral pandemic accomplishes this in their minds. Crashing the economy was not a by-product, it was the main strategic objective. It is their only means of emerging from the current crisis intact, what with their own economy going in the tank.

3. The Megalopolis/western intellectualoid media/academia was more than willing to participate in the destruction of Trump, whom they view as a buffoon and illegitimate as POTUS, combined with their theological hatred of western liberty and prosperity propelling them to behave in such a manner as to be the most harmful to their own nation and society. In this they are different from the Chicoms who see western liberty and prosperity as a competitive ideology, a hurdle to be overcome for their hegemony to continue and flourish. Western media/intellectuals are simply self loathing pagan nihilists. They do not mind that they are aligned with the enemies of the USA because they themselves are enemies of the USA. To that end they will do everything possible to impose their world view on their "news" and gladly contribute to the hysteria that is the real danger. They also know that the GOP is a waste of nutrients and the community of Americans living with a Biblical worldview is perhaps 1-2%, so there is no one to really unmask them in their perfidy.

I am no fan-boy of Trump – I praise him for things I like and criticise him for things I do not like – but I recognize the reality that even as a hopelessly imperfect vessel he is the only one willing to stand and fight against the forces who hate us. Those "leaders" who are more amenable to us stylistically, or more righteous in their private lives, or more philosophically sound, are all cowards unwilling to speak up and upset the apple cart and cost them invitations to Georgetown cocktail parties or bookings on Fox News. Cowards. All. Of. Them. If we learned nothing more from the nefarious Kabuki theater of the "bail out" this past week is that the Mafia are the moral superiors to the orcs in DC. They have willingly placed themselves beyond proprietyand common sense much less the wisdom and Grace of God.

We are looking at a social/economic/political terrain that has been fundamentally changed forever, at least until there is a universal Biblical revival or the next domestic political revolution. The lessons our foreign and domestic enemies will learn from this chapter guarantee that meta-crises of this magnitude will occur with regularity as they exploit our own weaknesses.

I leave you with a disturbing contemplation that has been part of my reflections for many decades.

Were the nation’s Founders optimists or pessimists, saints or sinners, at the moment when they realized in their hearts that they would literally have to kill their neighbors in order to achieve liberty and independence?

And, how will The Church comport itself in the coming conflicts? Will we be obsequious pansies or soldiers of the cross? Given the ignorance and lack of reading comprehension found in the pews and pulpits, I suspect it will be found wanting. The future will require ever more ardent and righteous prayer, but ardent and righteous prayer linked to dynamic actions. In this case "dynamic actions" are those our Founders found necessary to establish a nation created on a foundation of "The Laws of Nature and Nature's God."

I am not sure if any of this answers the questions you asked, but it's an extremely truncated version of what I have to say at this moment. I pray that I am wrong in every particular, and that some day you will look on this missive as proof that I am a kook.

PS One thing I forgot to discuss more fully is that we simply do not know when WuFlu was introduced in either China or the US. Without knowing that time line we have no way of knowing 1) how communicable and widespread it is, 2) the severity and lethality of the illness, nor 3) where we are in the statistical model or "curve." Without knowing the exact timetable for the pandemic there is literally no way to know when or if the curve is "being flattened" until long after the fact. I believe that it has been around for months, health officials were noticing a weird spike in a bizarre pneumonia-like illness as early as December and certainly well established statistically in late January. If this is true, then the virus is far more widespread and far less acute than we have been led to believe. Yes it is widespread and yes it is a serious illness, but not the First Horseman of the Apocalypse.

Let me summarize my observations of this virus. Two words.

This sucks.

The virus absolutely cratered their own economy, which had been hurt by the trade war but was still growing by low single digits. That's like saying they jumped off of the Empire State Building in the hopes of landing on the US on the sidewalk.

In the socialist state of Maryland, which I am very familiar with. The type that would have preferred Jeb Bush over Donald J. Trump so the status quo could be maintained. Though he begrudgingly gives President Trump some kudos when he feels up to it apparently.

In analyzing why the virus pandemic happened, he asks Cui Bono? - Latin for who benefits?

Basically he concludes that China benefits from the Wuhan virus and its world-wide impact. The intention from the beginning was to undermine the United States’s economy, wealth and power.

China was willing to endure devastation in its own land to do that. The internal devastation helped squelched boiling anger with the Chinese population against the Communist regime. That’s the theory he puts forth.

They say the price of meth is going up.
It won’t be long before the democrats will
put funding for it into the next relief bill.

Whether she agreed with your premises or not, I'm sure it made your niece feel quite special to have received such a l-e-n-g-t-h-y letter from her uncle !
(that is, unless you were already considered the loony one in the family ;-)

I’m guessing the boiling anger of the Chinese people is now hotter than ever, considering how their government welded their doors shut, etc.
